In the afternoon, we collectively learned about the undesirable geological phenomena, such as landslides, debris flows, etc., and also learned several representative landforms, so that we did not need to go out to understand the causes, processes and consequences of various geological phenomena, and also learned some measures and methods to prevent the occurrence of these geological phenomena, so that we enhanced our understanding of geological phenomena.

Learn to read engineering geological maps today. In order to enable us to understand the characteristics of strata, fold structures and faults with different degrees of inclination (horizontal, inclining, upright) on geological maps, the teacher explained in detail the characteristics of horizontal rock strata, inclined rock strata, upright rock strata, fold structures and faults on geological maps. I have learned to read various geological phenomena from geological maps, analyze the indexing rules of geological phenomena, and also master the methods of analyzing geological maps of areas with folds, faults, unconformities and magmatic rock intrusions, drawing schematic geological profiles from geological maps with geological structure maps, and analyzing the history of regional geological development according to geological maps. This paper has a preliminary understanding of the importance of geological survey in engineering construction and various methods and steps in engineering geological survey, and has a comprehensive understanding of the content of the engineering geological survey report.

XX Mountain, XX Mountain is composed of 48 red sandstone low mountains, the geographical structure of Danxia landform is located in Panyu District, Pearl River Estuary, riverside, is a scenic tourist area, divided into: Lotus Tower Scenic Area, Lotus City Scenic Area, Guanyin Scenic Area and Stone Scenic Area four scenic spots. The stone scenic area led by it is composed of more than 40 hills of various sizes, covering an area of more than 30 million square meters. The Lianhuashan Ancient Quarry was mined by the cutting rock drilling method, and the average height of the remaining quarry face was 25 meters, the highest point was 40 meters, and the deepest point was 13 meters below the ground. The quarry still retains the stone pillars, stone slabs and a large number of stones that could not be transported from ancient quarryingThe tectonic location and stratigraphic profile of Lianhuashan are as follows: The tectonic position of Lianhuashan is located in the deep fault zone since the Caledonian movement, which was formed during the orogenic period of the Yanshan movement in the Mesozoic Era, and is a typical folded mountain system. The Lianhuashan mountain range goes northeast through Fengshun, Meixian and Dapu into the Nanjing area of Hua'an in Fujian;To the southwest: to Haifeng, Huidong and Bao'an counties are respectively in Daya Bay, Shenzhen Bay such as the South China Sea, and then out of the Wanshan Islands and Gaolan Islands. The territory of Guangdong is about 500 km long, 20 to 40 km wide, and locally 60 km. The deep fault is a strong extrusion fracture zone, composed of more than 120 faults, divided into east and west fault bundles, with 13 trunk faults to the southeast and 14 trunk faults to the west. This dynamic thermal metamorphism is strong (low and medium pressure metamorphism), and lead, zinc, copper, tungsten, tin and other mineral deposits can be found. It is an important conductive rock structure, with multiple fractured and intermittent eruptions of medium-acid magma, and more than 100 rock masses in deep faults. It is a metallogenic zone of endogenous metal deposits. Stratigraphy: The Jurassic is collectively referred to as the Gaojiping Group (continental medium acid volcanic rocks), which is a complex set of continental volcanic rocks, composed of neutral, medium acid, acid volcanic lava and corresponding volcaniclastic rocks and sedimentary rock interlayers, with a huge thickness.

At 9 o'clock in the morning, we took the school bus to Lotus Mountain, after getting off the bus, we followed the teacher, listened to the teacher's explanation, walked down the stone steps, and arrived at the Lion Rock, which is a stone standing proudly, like a lion, this stone is eroded by the ancient tide, the lithology of the stone is the brown-red sandstone of the sedimentary rock, the bedding structure is obvious, and it is very easy to be weathered. Next is the Flying Eagle Ancient Road and the Flying Eagle Cliff, the Flying Eagle Ancient Road is a man-made tunnel, the tunnel cave is relatively wide, penetrating the entire rock layer, the lithology of the rock layer is the brown-red sandstone of sedimentary rock, and the bedding structure is obvious. On the opposite side of the lion rock is the Guanyin rock, it is a rock that the upper part is convex outward, and the lower part is concave inward, there are three words "Guanyin rock" on it, and the lithology is also the brown-red sandstone in the sedimentary rock, and then it is the Eight Immortals Rock.

Baxian Rock is actually a rock group, the plate shape is different, but it is scattered, the lithology is brown-red sandstone, the rock bedding structure is obvious, the upper part is covered by plants, and there are horizontal joints, vertical joints, inclined joints, and wave-type joints on the rocks, and some joints almost run through the entire rock group. It is obvious that the rock is subjected to relatively large tensile stresses, and there is also biological weathering. We came to the bath pond, which is a small pool formed by precipitation and surface water in the low-lying part of the rock formation, the sandy rock around the pool has been blown by the rain forest wind for many years, the wild creatures grow, its weathering degree is strong, part of the rock surface has been broken and cut off, the rock fragments in the lower part of the rock are weathered into powder particles, piled up into soil, its engineering geological properties are extremely poor, this weathered into the soil rock is not suitable for use as the basic bearing layer of the construction project. Continue to walk to the swallow rock, the swallow rock is composed of two high rocks, the two rocks are one, the lower part was chiseled by the ancients, and the two rocks are towering on the Hu face. There is also a sightseeing pavilion built on the top of the swallow rock, and there is an inclined joint on the rock, but these two fast rocks have not fallen for thousands of years, which is really breathtaking. Connected with the swallow rock is the ancient quarry, this quarry has a history of more than 2,000 years, the cliffs of the ancient quarry, the strange rock and different caves, is the most tourism and scientific research value of the "artificial Danxia" miracle in China. The horizontal bedding structure of the rock mass of the ancient quarry is obvious, the inclined joints are particularly prominent, its width is large and the length is long, and the depression is formed under the quarry due to the low terrain, and the surface water is accumulated for many years to form a water lake. This is the end of the day's internship, which is a process of combining theory and practice, in which we need to flexibly understand and apply the knowledge we have learned, so as to strengthen our understanding of the course.
