Bournemouth claimed their sixth win in their last seven matches with a comfortable win over Fulham, further cementing their impressive winning streak. Although Bournemouth's head coach Andoni Iraola was unable to direct the game himself due to an off-field suspension, supporters chanted his name throughout the stadium. Goals from Dominic Solanke, Justin Kluivert and Luis Sinisterra pushed Bournemouth into the top half of the table. Solanke's penalty kick was his 12th of the season, placing him second in the scorers' charts.
The win continued Bournemouth's strong streak, who have lost just one game since October. In contrast, Fulham recently beat Nottingham Forest and West Ham United 5-0 but have now failed to win four games in a row and pose no threat to Bournemouth's goal. In one frustrating moment, Fulham goalkeeper Berthe Leno shoved a Bournemouth fieldside caddie but quickly made amends by hugging and apologising to the youngster. Bournemouth's first goal came just before half-time when Alex Scott made a brilliant breakthrough and created a low shot for Kluivert.
Solanke then converted a penalty after Antonio Semenho was fouled. Sinisterra sealed the win in stoppage time with a curling shot from outside the box. Bournemouth's recent success is a testament to early doubts about their direction and look forward to their upcoming clash against Tottenham. Fulham, on the other hand, need to regroup and find a way to regain their winning momentum.
