Khaite is a New York-based fashion house founded in 2016 by Catherine Holstein, the brand's founder and creative director. Each season, Khaite continues to evolve its creations, creating an avant-garde style with exceptional fabrics, craftsmanship and intense detailing.

Khaite interprets the world in a modern language, inspired by life's interlaced moments, cultural symbols, and hidden desires from the heart, and interprets the feminine gesture of confidence in the bold design of ** and accessories. Khaite's design style presents a cutting-edge contradictory aesthetic, with a juxtaposition of strength and softness to emphasize the design tone of rigidity and softness, and the classic silhouette deconstructed design cleverly integrates into the flowing texture, showing a sensual and unrestrained unique charm atmosphere. The brand name (pronounced "kate") is derived from the Greek word "long, gently flowing hair" and symbolizes an adventurous and free state of mind.

Since its inception in 2016, Khaite has grown rapidly. Its product line has expanded from its original American retro athleisure** to classic denim, knitwear, evening wear and ready-to-wear. In February 2019, Catherine Holstein was nominated for the Emerging Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers (CFDA) for expanding her product line to include handbags, shoes and accessories. Shortly thereafter, Holstein was nominated for the 2021 Designer of the Year by the Fashion Designers Association of America, and won the American Designer of the Year award for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023.

Khaite's new Galleria store in South Korea follows the design of its Manhattan SOHO **. It perfectly echoes Khaite's extreme materialism, as well as the industrial origins and creative atmosphere of Manhattan's Soho district. The Soho district was once the cradle of a group of avant-garde artists. In the attic where light and shadow are intertwined, they establish a distinct artistic style with materials at their fingertips. The whole space is centered on steel and glass elements that reflect the atmosphere of Manhattan, New York, and the walls made of reinforced concrete and custom plaster give the whole space a minimalist sculptural texture, creating a strong visual impact. In the space where light and shadow overlap, Khaite's American casualness, innovative details and dark atmosphere are vividly displayed.

As the first collection to be presented in the Seoul store, Khaite's Fall/Winter 2023 collection is captivating with clean cuts and layered drapes. The collection continues Khaite's classic craftsmanship, emphasizing details and structured textures, echoing the brand's outspoken and inclusive philosophy, highlighting indulgence and restrained fun.
