EcoVadis is one of the fastest growing social responsibility assessment programs for brands in the market. Nestle, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oreal, Schneiderand other international brands are continuing to participate in EcoVadis ratings to promote ESG sustainability goals.

According to official news, the adjustment of the evaluation rules in 2024 includes: the evaluation rules of the four grand medals are updated and two new badges are added.

Four Grand Prize Medal Evaluation Rules Updated, Strive to Stand Out in the Final 65% of the Rankings:

Previously, EcoVadis used a fixed score range to determine each medal level.

Medals are now awarded to evaluation rankings based on percentile thresholdsTop 35%.of companies.

Platinum - Top 1%.

Gold - Top 5%.

Silver medal - top 15%.

Bronze medal - top 35%.

The business percentile ranking is calculated when the scorecard is published and is displayed at the top of the scorecard.

The percentage will be a companyThe last 12 performances are linked to the Ecovadis databaseThe performance of all rated companies has been improved.

Eligibility criteria for medals

1) Please note that companies doing business in specific industries are not eligible for an Ecovadis medal or badge. At present, these companies include, but are not limited to, tobacco product manufacturing companies, munitions manufacturing companies, coal-lignite mining companies, and companies that generate significant revenues from coal-fired power generation and/or partially coal-based hybridization, and these guidelines are subject to periodic review.

2) At the same time, to receive the medal, Ecovadis requires companies to be in the four sustainability themes of environment, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurementScore at least 30 points.

3) 360° negative findings appear in any of the followingAll of them may be disqualified from winning medals

1 serious outcome (SEV) for any subject**

1 or more primary outcomes (MAJ) for 2 or more subjects

Any single subject with more than 5 primary outcomes (MAJ).

More than 25 minor (min) findings in any single subject are considered serious (SEV) findings, and more than 5 minor (min) findings in any single subject are considered major (MAJ) findings.

If the total number of secondary (min) discoveries exceeds 50, the large enterprise will not be able to receive a medal.

Added 2 new badges:

committed、fast mover

Committed Badge:The minimum score is 45 points, which stands for "good" in EcoVadis

Fast Mover Rapid Progressor Badge:Scores range from 34-44 and companies are encouraged to improve by at least 6 points over the 18-month period from the previous assessment.

In the previous scoring system, companies with a score between 45 and 49 did not have any medals.

The addition of these two badges is a recognition of companies that do not have a high score, but have been working the road to sustainability.

In other words, the challenges of enterprises at different levels of sustainable development management are different, and the driving force for the sustainable development of various industries is more competitive
