The drama version of "Four Generations in the Same Hall" directly transforms the three parts of the original ** into a three-act drama, which distributes the growth and changes of the characters' fates in the past eight years, the relationship between the emotions of the family and the country and the personal emotions, the fate of the country and the fate of the characters in the Anti-Japanese War, in three acts. Condensing the 850,000-word original book into a script of 20,000 or 30,000 words was an impossible task for me at first.
