Chinese citizens can apply for a free visa to visit Sri Lanka

The reporter learned from the Sri Lankan Embassy in China that from now until March 31, 2024, Sri Lanka will be exempt from the electronic travel visa (ETA) fee for citizens of China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan for short-term visits.

Under this initiative, Chinese nationals will still need to apply for an Electronic Travel Visa (ETA) before arriving in Sri Lanka, but the visa fee will be waived and the visa will be valid for a stay of 30 days from the date of their first entry, during which they can enter and exit the country twice.
