Recently, the scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting of the project "R&D and Application of Key Technologies for 7,000 Tons of Super Large Die-casting Equipment" led by Shenzhen Lingwei Technology of LK Group was held at the Guangzhou Intelligent Connected Vehicle Manufacturing Base of Xiaopeng Motors. LK Technology

Liu Yihua, executive vice president and secretary general of Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society, Guo Lianfen, deputy secretary general, Lu Ya, vice president of Guangdong Intelligent Robot Research Institute, Yan Zhaokai, process technology expert of Xiaopeng Motors, Wang Zhaowei, body technology expert, and Cai Hengzhi, senior engineer of LK Group Technology Development Center, attended the meeting.

The project was jointly completed by LK Group, Shenzhen Lingwei Technology, LK Machinery (Shenzhen), Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment, Guangzhou Branch, Fuxin LK North Machinery, Fuxin Lida Steel Casting, and Guangdong Intelligent Robot Research Institute.

In order to solve the problems of stiffness reduction caused by the deformation and superposition of "template-base-guide" of heavy-duty linear guideway, a new type of die-casting equipment configuration design with the integration of large-scale thin-walled body structural parts was proposed. Focusing on the optimization of complex process parameters such as injection velocity, gate velocity and filling time, a collaborative technology based on model and numerical simulation was proposed, a servo energy-saving system with high energy-saving efficiency and high-performance injection system were designed, and a 7,000-ton die-casting equipment integrated with large-scale thin-walled body structural parts was developed, which was industrialized in the new energy vehicle factory.

During the implementation of the project, it applied for 5 PCTs, obtained 7 authorized invention patents and 49 utility model patents, led and participated in the formulation of 2 national standards and 2 industry standards, and has independent intellectual property rights. The products have been tested by a third-party organization, the inspected items meet the requirements of relevant standards, and the project products have been used by users, and have been well reflected, and significant economic and social benefits have been achieved.

By listening to the project R&D and implementation reports, on-site visits, and expert inquiries, the appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the project is highly innovative, the overall technology is in the leading position in China, and has reached the international advanced level, and agreed to pass the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements.

At present, there are still a lot of technical and market gaps in the ultra-large die-casting unit in the world. The rapid development of global new energy vehicle manufacturers has a higher demand for body lightweight, and the combination of large parts such as battery boxes, door body structural parts, etc., is an important direction for automobile lightweight.

LK's 7,000-ton die-casting equipment with integrated large-scale thin-walled body structural parts has a high-performance injection system, and has achieved major breakthroughs in speed control, position control, and pressurization control. Equipped with servo energy-saving control system and intelligent peripheral equipment, compared with traditional die-casting equipment, it greatly reduces production energy consumption, improves production efficiency, and realizes automated green production. While reducing the manufacturing cost of the whole vehicle and creating significant economic benefits for automobile manufacturing enterprises, it also reduces energy consumption, improves endurance, and actively contributes to the sustainable development goals of green industry and "double carbon".
