Windows 7 is a very popular computer system that still has a lot of users so far. But as a relatively old system, Windows 7 also often has some problems, boot prompt error recovery and has been circulating to cause failure to boot is a common one. So, what should we do when we encounter this problem?Let's take a look.

If you updated your computer system just before this issue occurred, you can choose to roll back to the state before the update.

We press the F8 key when the system boots up to enter the "Advanced Boot Options" menu, use the arrow keys to select the desired safe mode and hit the enter key.

Once in safe mode, search for "Programs & Features" in the start menu, and once you're there, tap on "View installed updates".

You'll then see a list of installed updates, find recently installed updates that are likely to cause the repair loop to start, and right-click and select "Uninstall" to uninstall them. Then restart your computer to see if the issue is resolved.

If we can't start the computer properly after installing a new driver or changing the settings, then we can select the "Last correct configuration" option in the "Advanced Boot Options" option.

We can use the command prompt to check for issues with repairing the drive and file system. Once we are in the "Advanced Boot Options" menu, select "Repair Your Computer" and from the "System Recovery Options" menu, select "Command Prompt".

Type "chkdsk c:f" in the command prompt window and hit enter to check for corrupted, invalid, or deleted system files.

Enter "sfc scannow" in the command prompt window to verify the integrity of each operating system file on your computer.

If there is an error in the bootloader installation or configuration, it can also cause the start repair loop to occur. We can run BootRec to manually try to rebuild the BCD (boot configuration data), partition boot sector, and master boot record.

Enter the following commands in the command prompt window and hit enter after each command:

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

bootrec /rebuildbcd

Wait for the run to finish, restart your computer and see if the problem is resolved.

Under normal circumstances, Windows 7 boot error recovery occurs, which can be solved by boot repair. However, if you keep looping and repairing the machine and cannot turn on, you can refer to the above methods to solve the problem.
