"Ambitious, courageous, selfless and wide", is a very elegant five-word inspirational couplet once written by Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (see the picture attached below), which is quite favored by later generations.
In life, you can't live a chaotic life, you should make a difference, and achieve a career, you must be like this couplet says, "have ambition and courage", that is, you must first have ambition. This couplet is to encourage people to make up their minds early and choose the direction of their efforts. Only in this way can we make up our minds and work hard to achieve our goalsIf the goal is clear, you will be indomitable, ambitious, and dare to do things with courage.
The next link "selfless world is wide" means that people live in society, and if they want to live in harmony with society, they should think more about everyone, the collective, the unit, and the country, and establish a spirit of public and selflessness, so as to gain everyone's respect and support, and the road in front of them can be broader and broader, and the future is immeasurable.
In short, although this couplet is only ten words, it explains the foundation of life and the foundation of life very thoroughly. This should become the motto of every aspirant.
