On April 10, 2015, there was news in Beijing that Pu Ren, the younger brother of the last emperor Pu Yi, died quietly in Beijing due to illness at the age of 97. Pu Ren, also known as Jin Youzhi, was born in 1918 in the palace of Prince Alcohol on the north shore of Shichahai in Beijing (now the former residence of Song Qingling in Beijing). He had a rich life experience, founded a primary school, served as a member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a librarian at the Beijing Municipal Research Institute of Culture and History, and retired in 1968. As the younger brother of the last emperor, Pu Ren's life is also full of mystery.

With the departure of Pu Ren, the context of the "Pu" character on the genealogy of Aixin Jueluo has also come to an end. What kind of life trajectory did Pu Ren leave behind? The emotional entanglement between him and Pu Yi and other siblings makes people look back.

Yixun, located in the downtown area of Beijing, was his palace back then. Yi Xun is Guangxu's biological father, who has been hiding from the ravages of power all his life, and finally seems to have succeeded. However, Empress Dowager Cixi's decision brought new troubles after his death. Cixi chose to be a younger brother and made Yixun's second son, the four-year-old Zaiyan, the new emperor, and Yixun's family was involved in the whirlpool of power.

In 1908, Yi Xun died of illness at the age of 51. In recognition of his loyalty to the state, Cixi personally established the nickname "Xian" for him and paid tribute to him personally. However, Yiyun's death did not let power leave his family, but after the storm, power followed him.

Yiyun's family, especially his son Zaifeng, played an important role in the end of the Qing Dynasty. After Pu Yi's abdication, Zaifeng became the de facto supreme leader of the Qing Dynasty, the regent. However, the Xinhai Revolution broke out, the Qing Dynasty fell, Pu Yi was expelled from the Forbidden City, and Zaifeng's days as regent came to an end.

However, Jae-bong is not a man of scheming, he approaches life with the attitude of an ordinary person. His family affairs are also emotional. Zaifeng's wife, Guerjia, was the daughter of Empress Dowager Cixi's confidant Ronglu, but she committed suicide in 1921. Although Zaifeng's life was once changed by the Xinhai Revolution, he maintained the Xi of frugality in his personal life.

Pu Ren, as Pu Yi's half-brother, his life trajectory is more ordinary. Growing up in Beijing's Prince's Mansion, he received a strict education in his childhood, but also had unusual experiences. He studied at Yew Wah Primary School in Tianjin, but later moved to his home to continue his Xi at home due to social unrest. With Pu Yi expelled from the Forbidden City, the Pu family almost survived by selling their property, but their persistence and hard work shone through the predicament.

In 1947, Pu Ren founded Jingye Primary School and cultivated a group of outstanding students for the society. However, Pu Ren was not just an educator, he always maintained his loyalty to the motherland during the difficult years, actively subscribed to the national debt, and donated the cultural relics of his family's collection to the state free of charge.

Pu Ren's life was very simple, even if he was deaf in his nineties, he still insisted on reading newspapers and Xi every day and maintained his attention to current affairs. His conduct and dedication to the family make people marvel at the tenacity and dedication of this member of the royal family.

In 1971, after the death of his wife, Pu Ren's life became even more lonely. However, he married Zhang Maoying in 1975 and spent more than 20 years of happy time together. Even though his life has changed, Pu Ren still sticks to his beliefs and has always maintained his loyalty to his family and motherland.

Pu Ren's life may not have an earth-shattering legend, but in the years when he stuck to his original intention, he showed the tenacity, perseverance and dedication of an ordinary person. This ordinary member of the royal family, in his unique way, left a deep mark on the times.
