Typical chemical compositions of waspaloy alloys include:
Nickel (Ni): 58%.
Chromium (CR): 19%.
Cobalt (CO): 13%.
Molybdenum (Mo): 4%.
Titanium (Ti): 3%.
Aluminum (AL): 14%
Performance characteristics of waspaloy alloy:
Excellent mechanical properties, especially below 980
Excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance
It is suitable for gas turbine operation in high-temperature environments
The waspaloy alloy still has a fairly good strength value in the temperature range of 760-870 (1400-1600), as well as excellent oxidation resistance, and can be used in gas turbine engine operating environments with temperatures up to 870 (1600). In the temperature range of 620-650 (1150-1200), the creep rupture strength of waspaloy alloy is significantly better than that of 718 alloy. Its short-term thermal tensile strength below 730°C (1350°F) is inferior to that of RA718.
