The China Association for the Promotion of Democracy (hereinafter referred to as the China Association for Promoting Democracy) is a political party with the nature of a political alliance, mainly high- and middle-level intellectuals engaged in education, culture, publishing, media, and related scientific and technological fields, and is a socialist party participating in socialism with Chinese characteristics that accepts the leadership of the Communist Party of China and cooperates with the Communist Party of China, and is an integral part of the patriotic united front.

Cai Dafeng, male, Han nationality, born in June 1960, from Ningbo, Zhejiang, joined the work in July 1985, joined the association in February 1995, graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tongji University, majoring in architectural history and theory, with a master's degree, a doctorate degree in engineering, and a professor.
He is currently the vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress and the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Association.

Tianjin University and the University of L'Aquila in Italy jointly trained a graduate degree in chemical engineering, a master's degree, a doctorate degree in engineering, and a professor.
He is currently the vice chairman of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, deputy director of the Internal Supervision Committee, a member of the Standing Committee and deputy secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and an executive director of the China Economic and Social Council.
