With the current beta cycle coming to an end, developers can now try tvOS 172 release candidates. Developers participating in the beta can get the latest builds through the Apple Developer Center, or update any Apple TV set-top box that is currently running the beta. Public beta versions usually appear shortly after developer beta and can be requested through Apple's beta program**.

The second release beta release candidate for this release is 21K365, compared to 21K364 for the first release released a few days ago. This update also includes a second release candidate for the HomePod software.

tvos 17.2 The main focus is on the TV app, which has added a sidebar to display the content of the integrated channels. This helps simplify the interface while providing more direct access to content for services like Disney+ and Paramount+.

Apple Insider and Apple strongly advise users not to install beta versions of the operating system or software on "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there may be issues leading to data loss.
