Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia LEnkh-Amgalan announced that primary school textbooks in Mongolia will be digitized with the help of technical support from the Polish company Learnetic. In the future, a total of 33 textbooks for primary schools in 9 categories will be launched electronically.
To better meet the needs of students, students will have both paper and digital textbooks. This change will allow children to say goodbye to heavy school bags, and textbook exercises and tasks will be more fun and easy to understand.
The e-textbook is expected to be available in February and will be trialled in select schools. According to the results of the trial, the necessary adjustments and additions will be made, and finally it will be fully operational.
Different from traditional textbooks, electronic textbooks have the characteristics of timely data updates. In addition to this, it can monitor students' performance in exercises and tasks, forming a comprehensive database of progress assessments. This innovation will help teachers better adapt and optimize their teaching methods to make teaching more personalized and efficient.
Digitized primary school textbooks are not only a technological innovation, but also an active exploration to improve the quality of teaching and reduce the burden on students. This change heralds the digital age of education in Mongolia, promoting educational equity, meeting the needs of Mongolian pastoral education, and welcoming more advanced and convenient learning methods.
