A glass stirrer is a commonly used mixing tool in laboratories, mainly used to mix a variety of liquid, solid or semi-solid substances evenly. It is usually made of heat-resistant glass, which is able to withstand higher temperatures and is well resistant to chemical corrosion. Proper use of a glass stirrer can improve the efficiency and safety of your experiments.
1. Preparation before use.
Check whether the parts of the agitator are complete, including the stirring bar, stirring blades, lid, etc.
Check that the glass of the agitator is clean, free of cracks, and free of breakage.
If heating is required, the power supply should be connected first and the power switch should be turned off.
Second, how to use.
Place the substance to be mixed into a beaker and add the appropriate amount of solvent or suspension.
Install the stirring blades on the stir bar, making sure that the blades fit tightly with the stir bar.
Place the stir bar in the beaker, making sure the leaves are in contact with the liquid.
Turn on the power switch and adjust the stirring speed so that the blades rotate at the appropriate speed.
During the stirring process, other substances can be added or the stirring speed can be adjusted as needed.
After blending, turn off the power switch first, then take out the stirring rod, wash and dry.
3. Precautions.
Before use, you should understand the operation method and precautions of the agitator.
The glass stirrer should be kept upright during the stirring process and avoid tilting or turning it upside down.
Do not over-stir or allow the blender to run idle to avoid damaging the blades or beaker.
If there is any peculiar smell, smoke or abnormal sound during the stirring process, stop using it immediately and check whether there is any fault.
When cleaning the glass stirrer, avoid scratching the glass surface with a sharp tool to avoid scratches or breakage.
