Shanghai Baoshan District Procuratorate.

Senior Prosecutor of the Fourth Level of the Sixth Prosecutor's Department.

The environment of Vessy

Weixi Lisu Autonomous County is one of the counties under the jurisdiction of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, located in the northwest of Yunnan Province, and is the gathering point of the "tea and horse market" in ancient northwest Yunnan. It has jurisdiction over 3 towns and 7 townships, with a total area of 4,661 square kilometers. There are about 150,000 people, including Lisu, Bai, Naxi, Tibetan and other ethnic groups. It is located in the heart of the three rivers (Jinsha River, Lancang River and Nu River), and is located on the southeast side of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The highest altitude in the county is 4,800 meters, and the lowest is 1,380 meters. In the county, there are 164 peaks above 3,000 meters above sea level, with an average altitude of 2,340 meters. The Vesy Mountains are high and wooded, with the feeling of a forest oxygen bar, but the traffic is inconvenient, there are no highways, no trains, no airports. The county seat where the procuratorate is located is a mountain town, and when you open the curtains, you can see the mountains, and you can either go uphill or downhill when you go out.

The people of Vessy

The prosecutors in Vesey were busy. At present, there are 33 civil servants in the Weixi Procuratorate, including 9 post prosecutors, who are under great pressure to handle cases and often work overtime. Vessy's prosecutors were also very enthusiastic. In the three months I have been in Weixi, I have been warmly welcomed by my colleagues, and the smiles and greetings every day have made me not lonely away from home.

In response to the call, the Weixi Procuratorate actively carried out activities to popularize the law and strengthen the foundation, and the procuratorial cadres and police gave one-on-one door-to-door law popularization to the villagers. Some villagers go out during the day and return home in the evening, so the police officers go to the door in the evening. This kind of overtime work is a common occurrence for them. During the period of support to the Weixi counterpart, I also participated in the legal popularization work twice. Once, a villager went up the mountain to collect mushrooms during the day and arrived home at night, so we drove up the mountain for 2 hours after work to popularize the law to the villagers, and then returned to the county seat at 10 o'clock in the evening. On the way, after passing a fork in the road, I got out of the car and checked the road sign, only to find that it said "Bear infested, pay attention to safety", which made me feel a little nervous, and the local police said that they had encountered snakes, tigers, bears and other animals on the way to work, which is a common thing in local work.

Visie's work

Due to the inconsistency of economic development, the types of cases in Shanghai and Weixi have their own characteristics, such as financial cases and intellectual property cases in Shanghai, but Weixi has very few;Similarly, there are forest cases in Vesie, but there are no cases in Shanghai. During my three months in Weixi, I participated in the public interest litigation work, patrolling rivers, mountains, villages, and temples with local police officers to investigate public interest litigation leads. In the process of external transfer, I appreciated the high mountains and lush forests, clear mountains and green waters of Weixi, and felt that the ecological environment of Weixi was very good, and at the same time, I also deeply felt the importance of ecological protection. Due to the special geographical ecology of Weixi, the proportion of cases involving the protection of natural resources is relatively high, especially those involving forest protection, the Weixi Procuratorate has explored and carried out a public welfare damage restoration base, requiring illegal personnel who illegally log down forests and destroy ecological and environmental resources to replant and regreen, restore the damaged ecological environment, and increase the protection of the ecological environment through the joint efforts of the judicial organs and administrative departments, and maintain and improve the good local ecological environment, which is very worthy of reference for our public interest litigation work.
