Overseas ** news, the first electric Range Rover is about to go on the market, in order to arouse the appetite of fans, Land Rover officially released some**, showing the exterior details of the upcoming large luxury electric SUV.
The British brand's first electric model will share the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (aka MLA Flex) platform with the more traditional Range Rover ranger. Despite the fact that it is equipped with a high-voltage battery, the electric car version is still capable of driving off the beaten track like an internal combustion engine model.
Land Rover says rigorous testing of the prototype has already begun, including driving in extremely hot and cold temperatures, as well as wading to depths of up to 334 inches (about 85 centimeters) of water, which is two inches (about 5 centimeters) shallower than the depth that the fuel version can get through.
However, there is no word yet on the available battery size or estimated range of the electric Range Rover. What is known is that the battery and electric motor for the car will be produced at the company's plant in Wolverhampton, England. At the same time, the car itself will be assembled for production at the assembly plant in Solihull, UK, together with a regular Range Rover.
It is reported that the electric version of Range Rover will be officially launched as a 2025 model next year.
