Fast Technology reported on December 24 that LG previously announced that it will launch the 2024 UltraGear OLED gaming monitor, covering the 32-inch to 45-inch product line, of which the 32GS95UE is the first gaming monitor to achieve both high refresh rate mode (FHD 480Hz) and high-resolution mode (4K 240Hz).
ASUS followed suit and officially announced the launch of a similar product to the 32GS95UE, which is expected to use the same OLED panel, and the new product called "ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP" will be unveiled at CES 2024.
It is reported that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP also offers FHD 480Hz and 4K 240Hz display modes, and ASUS also claims that this is "the world's first dual-mode gaming monitor" that can quickly switch between different display modes.
Of course, in the end, it will be interesting to see whose product is the first to be released on the market, rather than staying on paper, and I believe that this type of product will be favored by high-end gamers.
In fact, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP is similar to the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM released by ASUS at Gamescom 2023, which is the world's first 32-inch QD-OLED monitor that supports 4K resolution, using second-generation quantum dot OLED technology, providing 4K 240Hz display output, but there is no dual-mode display design, so there is a letter difference between the two models.
