A few days ago, at the company's mobilization meeting, the phrase "go to the place where the motherland needs it most" made his heart surge with enthusiasm, impulse and yearning - to a new place and to do a new career.
On April 10, Liu Haitao came to the Gansu branch. Looking into the distance, the Gobi Desert is a withered yellow. Three months later, he was transferred to one of the most remote and arduous projects in the depths of the Gobi Desert. "The further you go inside, the more desolate it becomes, the harder it is to see life, and the more inaccessible it becomes. In front of me, there was only a barren wasteland, no offices, no living quarters, nothing. This was his first impression when he arrived at the project department.
So, he borrowed 3 containers, 2 for office and 1 for storage. At that time, there were seven or eight people crammed into a container of only 18 square meters, plus desks, chairs, and computers, and it was often impossible to move your feet in a crowded office. Sometimes Liu Haitao has no place to go back to the office from the scene, so he can only lean against the wall, take a short break, and then go to the scene again.
The summer heat is unbearable, the temperature is in, there is no air conditioning in the container, and it is stuffy and hot. At noon, Liu Haitao found a few pieces of cardboard to lay down in the shadow of the container to rest, and survived the hot summer. But in winter, a new round of tests came, the temperature was -28, 7 8 level wind, as soon as I went out, I was frozen to tears, a layer of nearly 2 cm thick ice formed on the window, and the people in the office could only warm up around an oil lamp. In order to ensure the smooth development of on-site production work, the night duty is required to be on duty until half past 9 o'clock in the evening, but Liu Haitao must insist on it until the evening every time, send the hidden dangers found in the inspection to the group in time, and arrange the rectification matters before going back.
Liu Haitao is a native of Shaanxi Province, with the unique tenacity of a man in Guanzhong. During an on-site inspection, he found that a crane driver's special operation certificate had just expired, and immediately called the comrade in charge: Come over and see, what's going on?Liu Haitao had a cold face and asked: "The documents have expired, and the person is still driving the crane at the scene, what should I do if something goes wrong?"He unsympatheticly criticized the old colleague and fined him 500 yuan.
In 2022, the project department stipulates that except for the newly recruited employees who do not go to the site for half a year, all other men and women and grades must take turns to work morning and evening shifts. At first, some colleagues were reluctant, believing that their work did not require them to be in the field. In 2020, he learned that there were many single girls in the nearby hospital, so he actively communicated with the hospital and successfully organized 6 pairs of men and women from the hospital and the project department together, and invited everyone to dinner out of his own pocket, and 3 of them fell in love.
He always takes other people's business very seriously, but always ignores his own business. In June 2022, Liu Haitao was diagnosed with high blood pressure and sleep apnea syndrome. In July, he had surgery and spent a day in the ICU. After being transferred to the general ward, because his tonsils were removed, his throat could not make a sound, so he edited the information to ask about the scene, and did not leave his work behind at all.
