Autumn and Winter Check-in Challenge Ideye, who debuted in the youth academy of Nigerian club Bayelsa United, began his career in Europe in early 2008, playing with teams such as Ksamax Neuchâtel, Sochaux, Dynamo Kyiv, West Bromwich Albion, and Olympiacos.

As a Nigerian international, Idoye was named in the squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but unfortunately did not get a chance to play.

At the beginning of 2017, Idye joined the Tianjin TEDA team of the Chinese Super League, and the transfer fee of one or two million euros also made him the historical champion of the TEDA team. However, during his time in the Chinese Super League, Ideye's performance was disappointing. As the team's number one striker, he has only scored four goals in 14 Chinese Super League games, and his quality is not satisfactory. In the summer of 2017, Yidye was withdrawn from the first team registration by Tianjin TEDA and sent to the reserve team.

At the beginning of 2018, Tianjin TEDA brought in Jonathan, and Ideye was loaned to Malaga in La Liga. But he scored just one goal in thirteen games and Málaga was relegated at the end of the season. In January 2019, Tianjin TEDA terminated the contract with Yideye. After half a year of unemployment, he returned to the Greek league to join Aris. Today, the 35-year-old plays for Al Yamunk in the Kuwaiti League.
