On December 2, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the extension of Hengyang County Xiangbei Road, and the construction of the extension line was 4 miles long3 kilometers, starting from Xianghuan Road, Shigu District in the south, and connecting to the bridgehead of Jibing Bridge on County Road 044 in the north, with a total cost of more than 2,000 yuan, it is planned to be completed by the end of 2024. 
Project Overview
At the site of the groundbreaking ceremony, the extension line of Xiangbei Road passes through Judge Miao Village, Songgui Village, Taili Village and Jibing Village, covering the construction of roadbed, road hardening and oiling, and the construction of Hengjiang Pahe Bridge and ancillary projects. The construction of the roadbed is organized and implemented by the towns and villages, and the road construction and funds are responsible for the Hengyang County Transportation Bureau and the County Highway Bureau. 
Schematic diagram of the route, the extension of Xiangbei Road is built in accordance with the standard of rural highways, and the roadbed is 8 wide5 meters, the road surface is 7 meters wide, and there are two lanes in both directions. The construction of the roadbed includes the widening of the whole line, the straightening of the route, the steep slope reduction and the construction of culverts, slope protection, side ditches and other related ancillary facilities, with a project budget of 4.34 million yuan, and the funds are self-raised by the town and village levels, and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. 
At the same time, the greening, lighting, beautification, sequencing and other ancillary projects of the extension line of Steaming Xiangbei Road will be fully constructed, and facilities such as cultural parks, net red parking aprons, hydrophilic corridors, cultural stones, and riverside scenery belts will be built along the way, with an estimated capital of more than 400 yuan, which will be self-raised by the town and village levels. The construction of ancillary projects will create a good place for leisure and entertainment for the masses. 
After the completion of the real scene line of the Shigu section of Steaming North Xiangbei Road, it will greatly improve the problem of low utilization rate of the completed Steaming North Road, so that the dividends of the main road of Hengyang City will benefit more surrounding areas. 2023 Annual Stocktake
