International hot spot prospects, I am the fish in the pond

India invited France's Macron as the guest of honor to attend India's National Day celebrations next month, which Macron's office said on Friday was a strong demonstration of the relationship between the two countries, and it would be Macron's third visit to India as France's.

In January 2023, India's guest of honour was Egypt's Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who participated in a 90-minute military parade that ended with 75 Air Force fighter jets flying over the venue.

Described the two countries as strategic partners, and said: "India and France have a high degree of consensus on a range of regional and global issues", and India and France hope to further strengthen cooperation on a range of issues such as climate change and arms sales.

In July, India's Defence Procurement Council approved the purchase of 26 French Rafale fighter jets for the Indian Navy and three Scorpene-class submarines developed by France and Spain, and the meeting between France and India could affect Canada's relations with France.
