Newbie Mentoring Program
There is a meadow near my house where I often play. The meadow has a different scenery throughout the year, and in the spring, it is tender green, full of life and vitality; In summer, it is dark green and gives a cool feeling; In autumn, it is golden, as if to coat the earth with a golden dress; In winter, it is snow-white, like a thick quilt covering the grass.
One day, however, I noticed that the meadow had changed. Some people littered the grass, and the grass that was clean and tidy became dirty; There are also people who trample on the grass and trample the grass in a mess. I watched these scenes and felt sad. This meadow belongs to all of us, so why don't you cherish it?
So, I decided to do something to protect the meadow. Together with some like-minded classmates, I regularly cleaned up the garbage on the grass, and set up some signs on the grass that said, "Everyone is responsible for taking care of the grass." We hope that through our own efforts, more people will realize the importance of grassland and work together to protect it.
Over time, I've found that our efforts are paying off. More and more people are paying attention to this meadow, they are no longer littering, and they are no longer trampling. Slowly, the meadow regained its former vigor and vitality.
Through this incident, I have learned a truth: each of us should take care of the environment and protect nature. Only in this way can we make our homes more beautiful and livable.
Whenever I pass by that meadow, I am reminded of the days when it was once destroyed. But now, I see a vibrant meadow, swaying in the wind, as if telling me its story.
The changes in this meadow have also taught me that every small action can make a big difference. Each of us can make our own contribution to protecting the environment and caring for nature, and if we are willing to take action, we can definitely make our home a better place.
