Chongqing, located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, is the last pass of the ecological barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Chuanwei Chemical, the largest natural gas fine chemical and new materials enterprise in China, is located on the bank of the Yangtze River in Chongqing Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Different from other refining and chemical companies, as the only natural gas chemical enterprise of Sinopec, green and clean is its biggest advantage.
The reporter learned from Hu Ze, manager of the development planning department of Chuanwei Chemical Industry, that in the context of "double carbon", natural gas chemical industry has the advantage of low carbon emissions, and it is more efficient, which can realize atomic economy in a real sense.
In order to maximize the value of natural gas and not waste a cubic meter of gas, Chuanwei Chemical aims at the field of fine chemicals and new materials, continuously consolidates the unique core technology of natural gas-to-acetylene in China, optimizes the product structure, and takes the road of "basic + high-end" and "chemical + material" refined characteristic development.

Special oils, including white oil, refer to specific high-quality products processed into environmentally friendly solvent oils, ink oils, rubber oils and other special oils through advanced refining and chemical processes. Compared with conventional oils, specialty oil products can better meet special needs and are more valuable. At present, Jingmen Petrochemical has developed more than 40 "high-precision and cutting-edge new" varieties of special oils, and some high-end white oil products have reached the international leading and domestic top level, becoming the most complete and largest special oil producer in China.

At the Sinopec Southwest Hazardous Waste Disposal Center, which is about 5 kilometers away from Chuanwei Chemical, manager He Tao told reporters that it is currently the industrial waste comprehensive disposal center with the most extensive solid and hazardous waste disposal technology and the most complete types of disposal in southwest China. "The life cycle of an industrial product that used to be 'cradle-to-grave' has now become 'cradle-to-cradle'. Recycling, eating dry and squeezing clean have become a new mode of clean production in refining and chemical enterprises, and now the degree of resource utilization of industrial products is getting higher and higher.
