Yandi Shennong was the leader of the Jiang tribe in ancient China, and one of the three ancient emperors of China. He was revered as the "Emperor of Yan" and was known as the "Shennong" for his invention of agriculture and medicine.
Emperor Yan's mother, Nu Deng, was a woman from the Jiao tribe, and one night, she dreamed that the sun in the sky fell into her arms, and soon became pregnant and gave birth to Emperor Yan. Because Emperor Yan grew up next to Jiang Shui, he took Jiang as his surname.
Emperor Yan was very smart when he was young, he could talk in three days, he could walk in five days, and when he was three years old, he knew a lot of knowledge about crops, and Emperor Yan saw that people could only live by hunting, but there were fewer and fewer prey, and when it came to the great drought, the people could eat less food, and people were often hungry. I didn't dare to eat the fruits I picked out to eat, and some people were poisoned by eating wild mushrooms by mistake.
So Emperor Yan thought, if there was a kind of grass that produced a lot of fruit and could eat it, how good it would be. Just when everyone was thinking about how to distinguish poisonous food, once, Emperor Yan accidentally found a kind of bird that always brought a grass with seeds, which turned out to be an ear of wheat, and Emperor Yan planted these seeds in the ground and grew a lot of edible grains, so Emperor Yan taught everyone these grains and how to grow food.
Shennong crossed the mountains and mountains to find herbs that could cure poisonous food. But some of the herbs found are useful, and some of them will hurt your stomach if you eat them. Shennong's stomach was unbearable, and he drank the hot water that his daughter had just boiled, and his stomach was much more comfortable. Shennong asked her daughter what she boiled in the water, and her daughter was also questioning. The two ran to the pot to check, and found leaves and petals in the pot, which turned out to be camellia flowers on the back mountain. Let people pick more mountain flowers and leaves to boil water to drink, and drinking it can refresh you.
The tribesmen picked a lot of herbs, but one of the tribesmen ate one of them, and his body was so weak that the previous herbs had no effect. In order to save him, Shennong boiled the herbs he had just picked and prepared to drink them all himself. The clansmen recorded the medicinal properties on the side, and with the bowls of soup in their stomachs, they finally found herbs that could detoxify. The clansmen drank the herbs and really got better, but at this time Shennong fell to the ground, this is the story of Shennong tasting herbs.
At that time, people did not know how to use fire, but could only eat raw things, so they often got sick. Emperor Yan thought: Is there any way to make fire?So Emperor Yan began to try to make fire, he picked up some dry branches from the mountain, and used them to drill wood, but after drilling for a long time, no fire came out. Emperor Yan did not give up and continued to try, once, he rubbed two stones against each other, and finally drilled out of the spark, he put the spark on the dry branch, the branch burned, and the Emperor Yan finally succeeded in getting the fire. Emperor Yan taught the people how to make fire, and the people were very grateful to him and called him Shennong.
Emperor Yan not only invented the method of making fire, but also invented agriculture, medicine, etc.
Emperor Yan fought many wars, the most famous of which was joining forces with the Yellow Emperor to defeat Chiyou in the Battle of Zhuolu. This was the largest war at the end of the primitive society, which accelerated the integration of various tribes and laid the most solid foundation for the formation of the Chinese nation.
