On December 26, the author learned that CNPC Aobo (Chengdu) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CNPC Aobo) successfully implemented the placement of the first permanent optical fiber pressure gauge outside the casing in China in the Longdong National Shale Oil Demonstration Zone. This is the latest research achievement of the "Optical Fiber Sensing Technology Application Research Institute" jointly established by CNPC Aobo and Changqing Oilfield.
For a long time, the manufacturing and placement process of optical fiber manometer has been monopolized by foreign countries, and it is still in the research stage in China. In order to expand the application scenarios of optical fiber monitoring, accelerate the promotion of large-scale technology to create benefits, and realize the full life cycle management of oil and gas field exploration and development, CNPC Aobo and Changqing Oilfield Oil and Gas Technology Research Institute jointly tackled key problems and successfully developed a micro-cavity sensing technology and high-precision demodulation technology with independent intellectual property rights of optical fiber pressure gauge, breaking through the neck technology of fiber optic pressure gauge placement outside the casing.
At present, Longdong Oilfield has used combination technologies such as switchable sliding sleeves to find plugging at the wellhead, and the core tools of the downhole are all independently developed. The test adopts a double optical cable laying process, one of which is specially placed with a pressure gauge, and the length of the optical cable is more than 2,400 meters, including a 9-level switchable sliding sleeve. After more than 40 hours of continuous construction, the drilling of the optical cable outside the casing and the placement of the optical fiber pressure gauge were successfully completed. At present, the optical fiber communication is normal, and it is planned to carry out formal monitoring in April next year to provide a scientific basis for the evaluation of the fracturing effect of the well, the analysis of production contribution, the precise treatment of water shut-off, and the improvement of oil recovery.
