Depending on the topology, the AP cannot be brought online due to faults in the following modules:
1. Between AP and NBR.
2. AP problems.
3. The problem of NBR.
Each module: fault points (ranked according to possible causes), how to locate them, and specific operation methods
AP
Fault point: AP mode, AP management mode, AP duplicate name, AP fault
1) AP mode (should be confirmed first).
Command line: show ap-mode, if the mode is not thin mode, toggle
Interface: Connect the default wireless signal starting with ruiyi, use 192168.120.1. Enter the device interface to confirm the AP mode. If it is not thin mode, switch (if it is cloud mode, you need to go to the cloud platform to unbind it first, and self-service unbinding operation refer to:.)
2) AP duplicate name
Check whether the AP has the same name on the AC.
You can view the name of the AP.
We recommend that you check the command line: show ap-config summary sh ap-config run
3) AP failure
Observe the AP indicator to determine the AP status, check the power supply if the light is not on, and check whether the uplink line is enabled if the light is red.
Problems between AP and NBR
Fault points: DHCP configuration, AP-to-NBR connectivity, and private small routes
1) dhcp
You can check whether the AP has obtained the address on the NBR (see the ARP table on the page).
You can also go to the command line of the ap and show ip int b to view
Precautions:
The MAC=AP panel MAC address seen in the ARP table +1
If you do not see the AP to get the address, you can use the computer instead of the AP to see if you can get the address, and if you replace the AP with the computer, you can check whether the DHCP itself is configured correctlyIf the computer can obtain the address but the AP cannot obtain it, you can check the AP itself.
If the DHCP configuration is not faulty, but neither the AP nor the computer can obtain the IP address, check whether the AP-NBR data path is enabled to ensure that the AP (computer) can obtain the IP address
Test method: The computer manually configures the IP address for testing, and the manually configured IP address cannot ping the gateway, indicating the connectivity problem
2) Private connection route
If the AP obtains an IP address but does not go online, check whether the IP address obtained is correct.
Test method: Log in to the gateway address of the obtained IP address to check what device it is, and determine whether there is a small route or other delivery address
AP to tunnel
Important: Check whether the option field of DHCP is the same as that of the CTRL-IP of the AP
1) Whether the tunnel address from AP to AC is reachable
If the AP can obtain the correct address, the connectivity of the address is not faulty and you can continue to check the reachability of the AP to the AC tunnel.
Test method: The computer obtains the address of the same network segment as the AP, and then pings the tunnel address, if the ping cannot get through the tunnel address, it will check the connectivity of the tunnel
2) The tunnel address of the AP
Check whether the tunnel address configured in option138 is the same as the tunnel address of AC
RAP to view tunnel IP address tunnel status: show capwap state).
Note: (Manual configuration is not required).
If the AC and AP are on the same network segment, you do not need option 138 to self-block, and you can discover the AC in the form of broadcast
If the AC CTRL-IP and AP belong to different CIDR blocks, you must configure the option 138 field to point to the tunnel address
Problems with NBR
Fault point: whether the authorization, power supply, and version are compatible.
1) Authorization show ac-config to view the number of licenses
2) Check if the power supply is sufficient.
show poe interfaces gx y gx y indicates the faulty interface number, which needs to be configured according to the customer environmentCheck the power supply status of the faulty port.

show poe interface status needs to be collected several more times in case of failure, preferably every 5 seconds, 5 times.

3) Version compatibility issues.
