The words "Xiangfu" and "Prime Minister" have subtle differences in history. In the bureaucratic system of ancient China, "Xiangfu" usually referred to the emperor's honorific title for important ministers, especially when dealing with those who had made great contributions to the country, the emperor would often use the title of "Xiangfu" to show respect and closeness. The "prime minister" is a specific official title that is responsible for assisting the emperor in handling state affairs.

The relationship between the latter lord and Kong Ming can be said to be full of respect and trust. Before his death, the queen Liu Bei entrusted the affairs of the state to Kong Ming, which was undoubtedly a deep trust in Kong Ming. In order to realize the last wish of the first emperor, he made several northern expeditions to unify the Central Plains. For the later lord, Kong Ming is not only his important minister, but also his mentor and friend, and his right-hand man in governing the country.

In terms of title, the later lord Liu Bei once called Kong Ming "Xiangfather", which not only reflects the respect for Kong Ming, but also shows the deep friendship between them. For Kong Ming, he has always regarded himself as the "prime minister", not only because he has held the position of prime minister, but also because he hopes that his behavior can be in line with the identity of the "prime minister" and do his best for the national affairs of Shu Han.

In general, although there is only a one-word difference between the words "father" and "prime minister", their meanings in history are very different. The difference in the title between the Lord and Kong Ming also reflects the subtle and deep feelings between them. Their stories tell us that trust and respect are important ties that bind human relationships, both in officialdom and in life.
