Many disabled people lie at home after being discharged from the hospital, seriously lacking exercise, and only discovered their shortcomings when they are fitted with prostheses later. Therefore, it is very important to exercise and improve the posture of the poor residual limb during the period of home recuperation.
1. Movement of stump limbs on the knee
Fig. 1. Lie on your back, with your back close to the bed, relax your back and press down (the residual limb should not be stilted), hold on for 5 seconds, and then relax, several times a day, several times a time.
Fig. 2. Lie on your back, your back is close to the bed, and the residual limbs are also close to the bed, raise your head and shoulders (only if your upper chest is raised and you can't sit up) for 5 seconds and then flatten, several times a day, several times a time.
Fig. 3. Lie on your back, your back is close to the bed, bend your legs, hug your knees with both hands, and press the stump down as much as possible to only stick to the bed, but you can't arch your back for 5 seconds, relax, several times a day, several times a time.
Fig. 4. Lie on your side to the healthy side, bend the healthy leg, hug the knee with the opposite hand, try to force the residual limb backwards as much as possible (that is, stretch backwards), keep the body stable on the side, do not rotate with the residual limb, so insist on 5 seconds, relax, several times a day, several times each time.
Fig. 5. Lie on your back, rotate your legs inward for 5 seconds, and then rotate outward for 5 seconds, several times a day, several times each time.
Fig. 6. Lie on your side, lie on the stump side, keep your body in a straight line (do not bend over and arch your back), lift the healthy leg to abduct outward (i.e., open the healthy leg), and point your toes to the ceiling, hold on for 5 seconds, and then relax and return to the original state, several times a day, several times each time.
Fig. 7. Sit or lie on your back, straighten your healthy legs forward, point your toes to the sky, turn the soles of your feet inward, and bend your feet upwards (your heels should not leave the bed), hold on for five seconds, relax, several times a day, several times a time.
Fig. 8. Two feet away from the wall, standing facing the wall, hands against the wall, elbow joints straight, and then gradually bend the elbows until the upper body is close to the wall, and the knees should not be bent, so as to lengthen the Achilles tendon, several times a day, several times a time.
2. Movement of stump below the knee
Fig. 1. Sit on a wooden chair with both knees close to the edge of the chair, and the stump stretched forward (the thighs are close to the seat surface, not lifted), hold for 5 seconds, relax, several times a day, several times each time.
Fig. 2. Sit on the wooden chair, the method is the same as before, but to increase the resistance, you can use a piece of dough, canvas or thick cloth at the front end of the remnant, pull it with a rope, pass under the chair, go around a pulley or a round shaft, and use the French code or sandbag at the other end of the rope as resistance, and the resistance increases or decreases according to the strength of the residual limb.
3. Prosthetic use training
Fig. 1. Spread your legs six inches apart and move your body weight to the healthy leg for 5 seconds, then move your weight to the prosthesis for 5 seconds, several times a day, several times a time.
Fig. Second, the prosthetic leg takes a step forward, the weight falls on the healthy leg, insist on 5 seconds, then the healthy leg takes a step forward, the weight completely falls on the prosthesis, insist on 5 seconds after the healthy leg takes a step back, and hold on for another 5 seconds, when Xi, pay attention to keep the legs close together and do not open, and should be rhythmic, several times a day, several times each time.
Fig. 3. Take a step forward with the prosthesis, press the heel against the ground, and rotate the prosthesis outward on the healthy leg for 5 seconds, then rotate inward, also for 5 seconds, several times a day, several times each time.
Fig. Fourth, with the healthy limb to bear weight, the prosthesis swings left and right in front of the body, and the upper body does not follow the swing, only the prosthesis swings with the residual limb.
Fig. 5. Bear weight with the healthy leg and swing the prosthesis forward and backward several times a day, several times each time.
