NIO announced that its 2023 "1,000-Station Plan" has been officially achieved, adding 1,000 new battery swap stations in just 355 days. The latest battery swap station is located at the Shaanxi Museum of Natural History in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and it is also NIO's 2,305th battery swap station.
NIO officials said that at present, there is at least one battery swap station within 3 kilometers of the permanent residence of more than 300,000 users, covering 7 vertical cities and 6 horizontal cities, forming a high-speed battery swap network in 11 large urban agglomerations. It took 1,508 days to get from the first to the 1,000th battery swap station, and the 1,000 new battery swap stations this year took only 355 days, covering the east to Mudanjiang, south to Sanya, west to Changji, and north to Daqing. According to reports, among the 1,000 new battery swap stations this year, 399 are high-speed battery swap stations, and the cumulative number of high-speed battery swap stations has reached 745, which makes long-distance travel as convenient as a fuel truck.
It is worth mentioning that yesterday morning, NIO's 2,300th battery swap station was launched in the Jiuhuashan service area of Anhui Province, which is the 995th new battery swap station this year. This means that in just one day, NIO has launched 5 new battery swap stations.
Li Bin, the founder of NIO, released the "Thousand Stations Plan" in February this year, deciding to add 1,000 battery swap stations in 2023, and build more than 2,300 battery swap stations by the end of 2023. Through this program, NIO has further improved its battery swap network to provide users with more convenient charging services.
