Qualcomm dominated the AP market with a 40% revenue share in the third quarter of 2023. The premium segment is driving the brand's growth, driven by the adoption of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 by Samsung's flagship smartphones and Chinese OEMs.
In terms of revenue, Apple had a 31% share of the AP SoC market in Q3 2023. As a result of the launch of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series, Apple's share increased by 23% month-on-month.
MediaTek is in third place with a 15% share and 15% of total global smartphone AP SOC revenue. MediaTek's revenue grew sequentially in the third quarter of 2023 due to lower inventory levels and continued growth in competition in the entry-level 5G segment.
