This morning, there was foggy weather in Shandong, Jiangsu and other places. At 6 o'clock on December 29, the ** Meteorological Observatory issued the first red warning for fog at the highest level this year.
Affected by the combination of high humidity and persistent unfavorable atmospheric diffusion conditions, it is expected that from the morning to the morning of December 29, there will be heavy fog in parts of southeastern Hebei, most of Shandong, eastern Henan, central and northern Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, northern Zhejiang, western Chongqing and other places, among them, some areas of southeastern Hebei, central and western Shandong, northern Anhui, northern and eastern Jiangsu, southern Shanghai and other places have strong dense fog with visibility below 200 meters, southeastern Hebei, central and western Shandong, northern and southeastern Jiangsu, Some areas in northern Anhui and other places have extremely strong dense fog with visibility below 50 meters.
Fog Defense Guide.
1.Relevant units shall take traffic safety control measures in a timely manner in accordance with industry regulations, such as the suspension of aircraft take-off and landing at airports, the temporary closure of highways, and the temporary suspension of ferries.
2.According to the foggy driving regulations, the driver takes precautions in foggy weather, takes reasonable driving methods according to environmental conditions, and finds a safe parking area to park as soon as possible.
3.Persistent low visibility weather caused by unfavorable atmospheric diffusion conditions affects health and residents need to take appropriate precautions.
How to divide the warning level of fog?
It is reported that the ** Meteorological Observatory added a red warning for fog in 2014.
According to the 2014 revision of the meteorological industry standard "Fog Warning Level", the fog warning points issued by the meteorological stations under the meteorological authority are yellow, orange, and red respectively (the red warning for fog is the highest level). Prior to 2013, there were only two levels of fog warnings, blue and yellow. With the development of social and economic development, the public's demand and standards for visibility forecasting are also increasing, and the classification of early warning levels needs to be more detailed.
In the case of meteorological stations, the following criteria need to be followed for the issuance of fog warnings:
1.Fog Red Warning Issuance Criteria.
It is expected that in the next 24 hours, there will be strong dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters in parts of 3 or more provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), and there will be patches of fog with visibility less than 50 meters (covering 5 or more adjacent national basic weather stations or national reference climate stations);or has already emerged and may persist.
2.Criteria for issuing an orange warning for fog.
It is expected that fog with visibility less than 500 meters may occur in 3 or more provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) within 24 hours, and there are patches of fog with visibility less than 50 meters (covering 5 or more adjacent national basic meteorological stations or national reference climate stations);or has already emerged and may persist.
3.Yellow Warning for Heavy Fog Issuance Criteria.
It is expected that there may be fog with visibility less than 1,000 meters in 3 or more provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) within 24 hours, and there will be patches of fog with visibility less than 200 meters (covering 5 or more adjacent national basic weather stations or national reference climate stations);or has already emerged and may persist.
The warning level and release standard of fog issued by the meteorological stations under the meteorological authorities of each province (autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government) shall follow the early warning and issuance regulations of the province (autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government).
