Recently, under the guidance of Professor Wang Kunzheng of the Joint Surgery Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the Department of Orthopedics of Kaiyuan Campus of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology) completed the first arthroscopic all-inside total medial anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in western Henan.
35-year-old Mr. Guo (pseudonym) accidentally fell down due to skiing, and the pain in his right knee joint was unbearable. After careful physical examination and detailed reading of the film, Lu Xueliang, deputy director of the department, found that Mr. Guo had ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee joint and torn the meniscus of the right knee joint, which seriously affected the stability of the knee joint.
Considering that Mr. Guo is very young and hopes that it will not affect his future life, Xiong Mingyue, the director of the department, led the expert team to formulate a surgical plan of "arthroscopic all-inside ACL reconstruction" after detailed discussion.
During the operation, under the on-site guidance of Wang Kunzheng, the arthroscopic all-inside ACL reconstruction was completed with the assistance of Xiong Mingyue and Lu Xueliang. After the operation, Mr. Guo's knee joint was stable and he recovered well.
Knee arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is currently the preferred minimally invasive surgical method for knee anterior cruciate ligament rupture. The traditional microscopic reconstruction technique adopts the mode of autologous tendon combined with bilateral femoral tibial total bone tunnel, which has high requirements for the patient's tendon quality and bone condition. Patients with poor autologous tendon quality and osteoporosis are at risk of medium- and long-term bone tunneling and poor tendon healing with traditional procedures. Lu Xueliang introduced that all-inside total medial anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction has a good effect of minimally invasive cosmetology, reducing intraoperative time, postoperative pain and joint swelling.
Xiong Mingyue said that the orthopedic team of Kaiyuan Campus of the First Affiliated Hospital of River University of Science and Technology has routinely carried out this technology, which marks a new level in the development of sports medicine technology in the secondary discipline of orthopedics of the hospital. In the future, the orthopedic team of Kaiyuan Hospital will continue to adhere to the concept of "people-oriented", rely on the platform of Luoyang Branch of the Joint Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University Medical Center, continue to give full play to the advantages of disciplines, and escort the health of patients with better medical technology.
