This initiative allows Japanese businessmen who hold Japanese passports and enter Thailand for business for a short period of time to enter Thailand without a visa for a maximum stay of 30 days. This policy is expected to be implemented from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.

Karon stressed that the purpose of this policy is to facilitate Japan, one of Thailand's major investors. Japan is not only Thailand's largest investor, but also its third largest partner, which is of great significance to Thailand's economic development. This initiative is conducive to the development of economic and foreign cooperation with Japan, especially the promotion of **, investment and business operations between the two countries.
