There is no doubt that "Journey to the West" and "Romance of the Gods" are two of the most famous myths in my country**, and "Journey to the West" has even been selected as one of the four classical literary masterpieces, which shows its great influence. It is very interesting that many of the immortals in the two works coincide, but the names are different, and some immortals even have exactly the same names. Let's take a seat and see which immortals in "Romance of the Gods" are benchmarked against in "Journey to the West"?
In the gods, Lao Tzu, Yuan Shi Tianzun and Tongtian Sect Master are the three brothers, they are all the ancestors of the first god of the gods, and their Taoism belongs to the saint level. The three of them are obviously Daozu Sanqing in Journey to the West, and Sanqing refers to Taishang Laojun, Yuan Shi Tianzun and Lingbao Tianzun. Taishang Laojun refers to Lao Tzu, Yuan Shi Tianzun even has the same name, and the Tongtian Sect Master is naturally Lingbao Tianzun.
Yang Jian is the Erlang God, there is no objection, Yang Jian will ** Xuangong in the gods, and Erlang God will also ** Xuangong in the Journey to the West;Yang Jian has a roaring dog in the gods, and Erlang God also has a roaring dog in Journey to the West, isn't this one person, but two people?
The three great scholars in the Fengshen refer to three of the twelve immortals under the Yuan Shi Tianzun, who are Cihang Daoren, Fuxian Zhenren, and Manjushri Guangfa Tianzun. After the end of the Great War of the Gods, the three major scholars took refuge in Buddhism from the Daomen together with the fearful grandson and the Burning Lamp Daoist, and when they arrived in the Journey to the West, the Cihang Daoist became Guanyin Bodhisattva;Fuxian Zhenren became Fuxian Bodhisattva;Manjushri Guangfa Tianzun became Manjushri Bodhisattva.
Although the Burning Lamp Daoist is with the Twelve Golden Immortals all day long and is the leader of the Twelve Golden Immortals, he is actually not the apprentice of the Yuan Shi Tianzun, because the Twelve Golden Immortals call the Burning Lamp Daoist a teacher rather than a Dao brother. The Burning Lamp Dao people were more like executives hired by Yuan Shi Tianzun from outside, responsible for managing the twelve golden immortals.
The benchmark of the Burning Lamp Daoist in the Journey to the West is the Burning Lamp Ancient Buddha, which is clearly stated in the "Romance of the Gods", which is to call the Burning Lamp Taoist "the head of the immortal class, the source of the Buddha"!
There is a lot of controversy about the claim that the Duobao Taoist is the Buddha, but this possibility is very large. In the gods, Duobao Daoren is the top gate of the master of the Tongtian Sect, and he was captured by Lao Tzu on the Zhuxian Array and held in the peach garden of the Bajing Palace, thus saving his life. By the time he arrived in the Journey to the West, Duobao Daoist had become the Buddha of the West, the Buddha who pressed Sun Wukong under the Five Elements Mountain.
In "The Romance of the Gods", there is a sentence that once implied that Duobao Taoist people are the Buddha, and this sentence is "Duobao Western worship Rulai". It means that the Duobao Taoist became the Buddha of the Western Heavens.
The Quasi-Daoist in the Fengshen is one of the two leaders of the Western Sect, and there is also a Daoist above him, and the two of them are collectively known as the Two Saints of the West. After the end of the War of the Gods, the Duobao Daoists seized control of the Western Religion with the help of Lao Tzu and reorganized the Western Religion into Buddhism.
The original two sect leaders led the Taoist and the quasi-Tidao people instead became the subordinates of the Buddha, and the quasi-Tidao people left Lingshan incognito in a fit of anger and lived in the three-star cave of Lingtai Fangcun Mountain. This quasi-Taoist is the old teacher of Sun Wukong in the Journey to the West, Bodhi Ancestor!
The Holy Mother of Wudang is the leader of the Tongtian Sect in the gods**, and after the Great War of the Gods, the Holy Mother of Wudang escaped by luck and disappeared. It turned out that the Holy Mother of Wudang was the old mother of Lishan in the Journey to the West, and the old woman in the heart of the Four Holy Trials of Zen.
Li Jing and Nezha, father and son in the gods, entered the Journey to the West without even changing their names, this father and son are obviously the least suspenseful!
