Modeling methods for shaped hooks

Mondo games Updated on 2024-01-30

Today, a friend is asking, how to model the special-shaped hook, in fact, the method is relatively simple, just to understand the principle, the general hook is round, then we choose to do the surface OK, so let's share the steps of modeling:

1. First of all, we select [Insert] - Draw a sketch in the task environment], draw the required sketch from different perspectives, and find the corresponding perspective to draw what shape you want, as shown in the following figure:

2.When the sketch is completed, you can start modeling, select [Insert] - Design Features - Ball], select the arc type of the ball, and find the arc pointed by the arrow to make a ball, as shown in the following figure:

3. When the ball is made, select [Insert] - Design Features - Stretch, and select the middle curve to stretch the piece, the purpose of which is to make the piece to assist in tangency, as shown in the figure below

4.When the piece is stretched out, select [Insert] - Derived Curve - Bridge], select the two ends of the piece to be tangent to G1, and the part of the ball should constrain the bridge curve to the surface of the sphere, as shown in the following figure:

5. When the curve bridging is completed, select [Insert] - Mesh Surface - Through Curve Grid], select the corresponding main curve and cross curve, and after making it, select the corresponding surface for tangent, as shown in the following figure:

6.When a slice is completed, select [Insert - Associative Copy] - Mirror Geometry, select the finished mesh surface, and then select the zc axis for mirroring, as shown in the following figure:

7. When the mirror is completed, we connect and close the two ends of the sheet through the n-side surface or the bounded plane, remember to pay attention when using the n-edge surface, and be sure to choose to trim to the boundary at the set position, as shown in the following figure:

8. When the piece is closed, in the selection of [Insert] - Combination - Stitching], all the pieces are sutured to make them become solids, and the pieces to the body must ensure that all the pieces must be closed, otherwise they cannot be sewn into solids, as shown in the figure below

9. When the piece is stitched, select [Insert] - Design Features - Rotation, select the straight line pointed by the arrow, and then select the YC axis, the rotation angle is 360°, as shown in the following figure:

10. When the rotating body comes out, select [Insert] - Combination - Merge], merge the whole entity by selecting the target body and more specifically, so that the product becomes a whole, as shown in the following figure
