He said that the construction of the sports and art center is a long-awaited popular project for all teachers and students, a major project to fill the gap in the school's sports and art facilities, especially the West Campus, and a key project to comprehensively strengthen and improve sports and aesthetic education in the new era. From the establishment of the project in 2019 to the official approval of construction on December 6 this year, after four years, the smooth start of the project was not easy to come by. In 2025, the school is about to usher in the "Shuangjiazi" celebration, and the sports and art center will surely become a landmark project for the "Shuangjiazi" celebration. It is hoped that the contractor attaches great importance to it, carefully organizes and carries out safe construction, creates high-quality projects, and completes construction tasks with high quality; The supervision unit gives full play to the role of project quality and safety control, ensures the safety, integrity and efficiency of the project, and jointly presents a great gift for the 120th anniversary of the school.

The project of China Agricultural University Sports and Art Center aims to create a core place for sports, art, culture and communication between teachers and students of the university, enhance their enthusiasm for sports, stretch their artistic talents, stimulate cultural inspiration, and use the important space nodes of the campus to create a multi-functional comprehensive space that is convenient, accessible, easy and comfortable, and easy to communicate. The design scheme integrates sports, art and agricultural culture, draws on the image of "wheat ears" in the emblem of China Agricultural University to show the tradition and future of China's agricultural culture, and creates a "wheat ear hill" that meets the diverse needs of rest and entertainment.
Renderings. As a new type of building mainly underground, the landscape created by using the roof space of the building will integrate the characteristics of the Agricultural University campus to carry out planting and design. The building adopts an undulating curved shape, implying the ups and downs of the land of our country, creating a space to promote communication in the vast land. Water, wind, light and land are the elements on which people and plants depend, and the design maximizes the use of green energy to create an environmentally symbiotic building. Sunken courtyards, skylights and openings on the roof bring in natural light and wind, and rainwater is stored underground as an irrigation water source to maximize the reuse of recyclable natural resources.
Renderings. In order to meet the functional requirements, the design cleverly combines natural ventilation and equipment ventilation, so that the main design of the underground can also have fresh air efficiently. As an important symbol building on the campus of China Agricultural University, the Sports and Art Center is a place to grow together with students, and it is a unique "Wheat Ear Hill" full of creativity and vitality. The project won the first prize of the 2021 International Active House Award and the silver award of the 2022 Paris International Design Award.
Renderings. It is understood that the overall construction area of the sports and art center is 29,988, of which the total area of the ground floor is 3,188, including 2,800 above-ground comprehensive venues, supporting the use of basketball, volleyball, badminton and other sports; The underground construction area is 26,800, including swimming pools, basketball halls, tennis halls, table tennis halls, art theaters, innovative employment rooms and other sports and aesthetic education and teachers and student activities, and the project is planned to be capped in 2025.
