Duck's foot is a common indoor foliage plant, and its leaf shape is unique, showing a duck's foot shape, which is very ornamental. Moreover, duck foot wood also has a good air purification effect, which can absorb harmful substances in the air and make your home environment healthier.

Cultivation methods

Select the branch

Choose a strong, free of pests and diseases, and grow well, cut the branches with high hardness from the top, about 10cm long, cut off the lower leaves, and keep the upper two or three leaves for photosynthesis.

Insert the bottle

Cuttings of the branches into the water, do not need to be too deep, 3-5 cm below the bottom branch is enough. After plugging in, place in a cool and ventilated location. If the root system is not sound, it will be easy to wilt if it is not exposed to too much sun.

Change the water

After cuttings, change the water about once every 1-2 days, do not take out the branches, pour the water on the side and re-water it. Add the rooting solution dropwise. Change the water every 2-3 days after the obvious root system appears.

Post-management

It is normal for some yellow leaves to appear during the period when the root system is not fully developed, and it is enough to prune them off. When the root system is growing steadily, you can change other containers at will. Place in a bright scattered light location. The root system is abundant, and some hydroponic nutrient solution can be used appropriately.

Precautions

If the water is turbid, wash the roots by the way to remove the leaves that have rotted away from the water to ensure that the water and plants are clean and healthy.

When the temperature is high in summer, the frequency of water change can be appropriately increased to keep the water clean.

When the temperature is low in winter, you can reduce the frequency of water changes to prevent the root system from freezing.

If the root system grows too long, it can be pruned properly so as not to affect the appearance of the plant.

The hydroponic method of duck foot wood is simple and easy, as long as you pay attention to the above points, you can easily raise a pot of healthy and beautiful duck foot wood.
