On December 5, QS Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a global higher education analysis agency, today released the QS World University Sustainability Rankings 2024. (Business schools are not currently eligible for this ranking).
The 2024 sustainability rankings cover 1,403 higher education institutions in 95 countries and territories, more than double the number first published last year.
The University of Toronto topped the rankings, followed by the University of California, Berkeley (second globally) and the University of Manchester (third globally).

Environmental research indicators are indicators used by Elsevier to assess academic output in light of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 15. Shanghai Jiao Tong University is the best performing Chinese (mainland) university in the index, ranking 119th in the world. The University of Manchester has added 7 new programmes this year, including four sustainability-related majors:

This new specialization is offered in business schools and courses are on sustainable management, entrepreneurship, finance and corporate responsibility.
ma education for a sustainable environment
This new major is opened in the Institute of Environmental Development, which is "education + sustainability", and adopts an online + offline teaching method.
