Tonight (December 23), Li Bin officially unveiled NIO's new smart executive flagship model, the ET9, at NIO Day 2023. The pre-sale price of the new ET9 is 800,000 yuan, and reservations will be accepted immediately after launch. Li further added that the ET9 will only be officially delivered in the first quarter of 2025 after going through a full validation cycle by NIO's internal team.
Announcing the new car one year ahead of schedule, NIO has condensed all the technological innovations into this climbing.
Unconservative, imaginative

In terms of the lookout LiDAR layout that NIO is proud of, the ET9 has also been upgraded in a targeted manner. ET9 condenses all the achievements of NIO's full-stack self-development in four aspects: intelligent driving chips, high-voltage architecture, intelligent chassis and safety system.
At the recent NIO IN press conference, Li Bin showed the outside world for the first time the self-developed layout of NIO covering 12 key areas, following the birth of Yang Jian's self-developed LiDAR chip, Li Bin officially released NIO's first self-developed intelligent driving chip, Shenji NX9031 today.
The Shenji NX9031 is a chip that uses a 5nm automotive process, and NIO's in-house team has implemented the first 32-core CPU architecture in the automotive industry, with the industry's highest dynamic processing range and 6.5 billion pixels per second. Thanks to the support of the self-developed inference acceleration unit NPU, the performance of the Shenji NX9031 is improved by 4% compared with the industry's flagship BEV, Transformer and LiDAR chips3 times, 65 times and 4 times more.

In terms of the vehicle architecture of the ET9, NIO has also made a breakthrough. In the software-defined era, the chassis determines the upper limit
Driving quality is never a matter of paper, and with the integration of cutting-edge electric technology, the ET9 also achieves corner overtaking in chassis tuning.
Li Bin introduced to us that the Tianxing intelligent chassis system is also the world's only fully controlled intelligent chassis, in which NIO's internal team integrates steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering and fully active suspension.

Thanks to the active suspension electric drive unit, the ET9 can control all four wheels independently, turn at high speeds without rolling, and walk on bumpy roads. NIO is not only about battery swapping

The ambitious Li Bin, after completing NIO's 1,000-station plan this year, also put forward high requirements for next year. Li Bin mentioned NIO's 2024 charging and swapping network layout plan, in which NIO will deploy 1,000 new battery swap stations and more than 20,000 charging piles in the coming year.
