Before the introduction of relevant policies, major domestic mainstream machine manufacturers such as Mingyang Intelligent, China Haizhuang and Electric Wind Power have already laid out in the field of floating wind power.
In 2018, led by the Three Gorges Corporation and participated by South China University of Technology and Mingyang Intelligence, the first floating wind power R&D project in China was launched, and after three years, the Three Gorges "Leading" was successfully connected to the grid in Yangjiang, Guangdong.
In the same year, China Haizhuang obtained approval for its floating wind power project, which is located in the Zhanjiang Sea at a depth of 60 meters, and the prototype was successfully connected to the grid in 2022.
In 2022, the design plan of CNOOC's floating wind power project passed the group's review and construction began, and the project will be connected to the grid for power generation in 2023.
The construction of Goldwind's Wenzhou deep-sea base started in September 2022, with a total investment of 43 billion yuan, including a deep-sea floating R&D headquarters, a manufacturing and export base for offshore wind power large-capacity wind turbines, etc.
