The results of the highly-anticipated Best Chef Awards 2023 were announced at a gala gala in Yucatan. Slovenian Chef Ana Ro has been ranked third, cementing her position as the only female chef in the top 10 best chefs in the world.
Held in Yucatan, Mexico, the World's Best Chefs competition featured fascinating lectures, debates, demonstrations and cooking shows around the theme of "Origins and Futures", culminating in the announcement of the World's Best Chefs.
The 2023 list of the World's Best Chefs includes chefs from 35 countries, with Spain leading the way with 15 chefs. Chef Dabiz Mu oz of Diverxo in Madrid topped the list, followed by Chef Albert AdriĆ of Enigma in Barcelona. Chef Ana Ro from Hi A Franko in Slovenia jumped from 9th place last year to 3rd position.
Chef Ana Ro was a diplomat in Brussels, and in 2016 she participated in the famous American documentary "Chef's Table" on Netflix, when she returned to Slovenia with her husband Valter Kramar to run a family restaurant in the valley of the western town of Kobarid's table) and won the title of World's Best Female Chef in 2017, bringing Slovenia to the world gastronomic map.
Despite her reputation, Ana has never received systematic culinary training, and she has developed her own unique style of cooking through self-study and years of travel experience. To put it simply, ANA's culinary philosophy is to follow nature!

In the 2023 World's 50 Best Restaurants rankings, Hi A Franko is ranked 32nd, up 2 places from 2022;In the 2023 Michelin-starred list of Slovenia, Hi A Franko has been awarded the top Michelin star and retains the Green Star status, which is only 32 restaurants in the world to receive this distinction at the same time.
