In June 1954, Chen Guang**, who had outstanding military merits, died, and he was still charged with anti-party crimes, and was under house arrest for 4 years before his death, and his party membership was also expelled. Chen Guang's incident shocked the whole party, and many cadres did not dare to mention the incident for fear of getting into trouble.
However, there are two founding figures who are very sad about this, and feel special regret for Chen Guang's death, and 34 years after the death of the general, he was finally rehabilitated, of course, it has a lot to do with these two meritorious deeds. In his early years, Chen Guang's qualifications were very conspicuous, and even some founding generals could not compare.
Chen Guang served as the commander of the ** regiment of the Red First Army, as well as the first brigade commander of the 343 Brigade of the Eighth Route Army and the commander of the ** division of the 115th Division. However, because Chen Guang can fight, he lacks cultural literacy, which causes his emotional intelligence to be low, and when he gets along with other comrades, he is not very friendly and easy to offend people, which also led to his tragedy later.
There are only a few military cadres who partner with Chen Guang who have a good relationship with him. General Chen Guang has a straightforward personality, although he is also chivalrous, but he is very willful and likes to complain. And he was able to hold such a high position, mainly because of his excellent military ability, and as for other aspects, he was "shortcoming".
In 1938, after Mr. Lin was accidentally injured, Chen Guang served as the commander of the 115th Division, but this was only five years, and in the end he did not become a regular, and this phenomenon is relatively rare in the people's army. Therefore, his disadvantages are also reflected from the side. In July 1950, the organization put Chen Guang under house arrest, and the reasons given were that he refused to hand over the radio station in the early days of the Liberation War, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he did not do well in connecting with Hong Kong and Macao, and even privately recruited soldiers in his hometown for military training. Although there are problems in these things, in Chen Guang's view, these are just internal contradictions among the people, not his personal problems.
Because this also expelled Chen Guang from the party and put him under house arrest, it is really a bit of a fuss, but this can only show that General Chen Guang loves to offend people too much, and in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was fiercely targeted by so many people. After Chen Guang's death, the saddest thing was *** and Xiao Hua.
They are all comrades-in-arms of Chen Guang's four fields, but their origins are more than these, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Shandong base area was able to develop so well, and there is also Chen Guang's credit. At that time, together with Luo Shuai, he led the division headquarters of the Eighth Route Army to Shandong to fight and develop base areas. Xiao Hua arrived in Shandong earlier than them, and later his team merged with the 115th Division, and the three of them fought together.
Luo Shuai and Xiao Hua are both particularly outstanding political cadres, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, both of them also served as directors of the General Political Department. Therefore, both of them are good at grasping the advantages and disadvantages of military generals, and they also know how to get along with generals with personality like Chen Guang, and they can also cooperate well with each other.
In the more than ten years in the base, Luo Shuai and Xiao Hua knew Chen Guang very well, so they also established a deep friendship. In 1954, after the news of Chen Guang** was known to them, both of them were very sad. Because Luo Shuai's health has not been very good, Luo Shuai was diagnosed with kidney cancer in the forties, and after learning about Chen Guang, his emotional condition was affected.
Luo Shuai has always been looking for a suitable opportunity to help Chen Guang rehabilitate, so in 1974, Xiao Hua wrote a detailed appeal material, preparing to help his old comrade-in-arms Chen Guang clear his grievances. However, due to many factors, Xiao Hua's appeal materials were not approved, and his original opinion on the Chen Guang incident was maintained.
Xiao Hua died in 1985, but his actions also promoted Chen Guang's rehabilitation, and there were other comrades working for him. In 1987, the widow of Ms. Lin Yueqin and Luo Shuai organized ten veteran comrades to re-investigate the matter of Chen Guang that year, and also wrote a detailed letter explaining the matter, reported it to the organization, and once again proposed to rehabilitate Chen Guang.
The appeal finally came to fruition, and various materials proved that Chen Guang was innocent, and that he had been treated unfairly and framed. The following year, General Chen Guang was rehabilitated and his party membership was restored, 34 years after Comrade Chen Guang's death.
