In terms of cartridges, the Gold Note also has its own cartridge, and this time the Mediterraneo configuration is Donatello Gold, named after the name of a sculptor of the Italian Renaissance. Then again, the gold note's phono names are all derived from the names of Italian celebrities. For example, da Vinci, Giotto, Machiavelli, and so on. Each cartridge of the Gold Note is available in two versions, the Gold version and the RED version, which represent the high level output and the low level output. Donatello Gold is a low-level output version with a maximum output level of 05MV, as for Donatello Red is the high-level version, the maximum output level is 18mv。In addition to the difference in output level, the frequency response and impedance are also different, the low level version (Gold) has a high frequency limit of up to 40 kHz and an impedance of 40 ohms, and the high level version (Red) has a high frequency limit of 35 kHz and an impedance of 140 ohms. In fact, it is just the difference in the number of coils, the number of coils in the gold version is a little less, the impedance is a little lower, and the output level is a little lower, but because the mass is light, the high frequency upper limit is a little higher, on the contrary, the red version has more coils, and the index is the opposite of gold. As for the tonearm of the Mediterraneo configuration, it is the B-7 Ceramic, which is the highest level of the Gold Note current tonearm, and the arm tube of the B-7 ceramic is made of lightweight and stiff titanium. The bearing part is made of ceramic bearing, which is customized by the German GRW company for Gold Note, and the purpose of application here is because of the wear-resistant, oil-free and self-lubricating characteristics of ceramic bearing. The wire used to transmit the audio signal is a 6N oxygen-free copper wire.

Listening to vinyl, I think it is better to listen to vinyl records released in a purely analog recording way, which can be regarded as the pursuit of analog sound. This time it sounded not only smooth and shiny, the texture was real, the violin's sound image was full and thick, but also clear, and in my impression of many auditions, the sound quality of vinyl was even better than that of the CDs released later. The famous Wilkinson's recording of "The Power of Orchestra" at RCA is also an analogue recording, and I also have vinyl and CD records. The sound of this recording is hot, I paid special attention to the sound of wind and strings, the sound is bright, the texture is bright and strong, the timbre of the strings is even a bit gorgeous, and the sound of the low-mid part is very full and rich, magnificent, and the overall is brilliant, and the CD version is relatively smoother.
