Recently, the China Disabled Persons' Federation and the All-China Women's Federation issued the "Notice on Determining the First Batch of "Beautiful Workshops", and released the list of the first batch of 55 "Beautiful Workshops", and Chongqing Tan Carpenter Handicrafts was selected as one of the first batch of institutions.
The "Beauty Workshop" project is a project jointly initiated by the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the All-China Women's Federation, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the National Rural Revitalization Administration, under the active advocacy and promotion of Zhang Haidi, the former chairman of the China Disabled Persons' Federation. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the project plans to launch 100 "beauty workshops" through layers of cultivation, recommendation and selection, and radiate and drive the employment and income of more than 10,000 disabled women. In 2022-2023, the China Disabled Persons' Federation and the All-China Women's Federation jointly selected and identified the first batch of 55 "Beauty Workshop" demonstration institutions, which will guide more institutions to carry out skills training for women with disabilities, develop more handmade products with market prospects, ensure the employment and income of women with disabilities, and ensure that the project goals are achieved as scheduled.
In the production line of Tan Carpenter Factory, more than one-third of the employees are disabled, and more than half of the women are women, who work with other employees to make the world's most beautiful wooden combs, and obtain income from their own labor in Tan Carpenter to achieve "self-esteem, self-confidence and self-improvement". This all stems from the original intention of Tan Chuanhua, the founder of Tan Carpenter Company, "two yuan and six steamed buns": "Let more disabled people like me have work, food, clothing, and housing." ”
Honesty, hard work, and happiness" is the core of Tan Carpenter's corporate culture, Tan Carpenter Company not only makes efforts to promote employment for disabled women, but also actively advocates a healthy lifestyle while empowering them, enriches the lives of disabled women employees, and has been strengthening the welfare of disabled employees. In addition to the free shuttle bus for disabled employees, the continuous upgrading and improvement of the dormitory building, and the organization of diversified employee team building activities from time to time, the Tan Carpenter Factory also cooperated with the Chongqing Wanzhou District Disabled Persons' Federation to jointly build the "Yuxin Home" for more than 340 disabled employees in the company, which was officially put into operation recently, and was well received by the disabled employees and became their favorite place during non-working hours.
"Yuxin Home" covers a total area of 1,022 square meters, including indoor office areas, basketball courts, table tennis courts, badminton courts and fitness equipment and facilities, upgraded supporting massage chair leisure room, ** room, etc., around day care, supported employment, ** services, skills training, cultural and sports activities and other projects to carry out activities.
In the Tan Carpenter Factory, there is such a dance team, they live in a silent world, but their love for dance does not diminish in the slightest, and they use their time outside of work to organize rehearsals spontaneously in the open space of the workshop. At this year's Tan Carpenter 30th anniversary celebration, a dance taught and choreographed by them - "You Look Good When You Smile", showed their confidence, persistence and passion, jumped out of their own stage, and won everyone's respect and applause. Now "Yuxin Garden" has also set up a dance studio for them, so as to better choreograph the dance and exude a love for life.
The first batch of "Beauty Workshop" selected by Carpenter Tan is an affirmation of Carpenter Tan's efforts to support the cause of disabled women, achieve "equal employment" and pursue a better life, and will continue to be committed to creating more job opportunities for disabled women in the future and making greater contributions to the development and progress of society.
