For non-Chinese brand vehicles, the significance of carplay is very obvious.

But in the Chinese market, the sense of value of carplay is actually very weak, at least from the past six months, the new models launched by Chinese brands, for the promotion of intelligent cockpits, there has been no carplay configuration.

Carplay is based on the traditional fuel vehicle, so that the mobile phone and the vehicle are effectively interconnected configuration, the biggest function is the projection navigation, voice**, three major functions.

But these features have been made standard on Chinese brands and can be completely separated from mobile phones.

Independent intelligent cockpit system, can bring a better sense of experience, for example, HUD has been upgraded to AR series, intelligent voice recognition system can not only regulate the temperature of the vehicle, sunroof, but also at will**, command and navigation, in addition, the mobile phone APP can also turn on the air conditioning in advance, positioning.

These features are not possible with carplay.

The most important thing is that carplay is developed for Apple mobile phone users, and a large number of Android users cannot use it, especially in the Chinese market, on the basis of domestic mobile phones frantically grabbing the market share of Apple mobile phones, fewer and fewer people use Apple mobile phones, and the value of carplay that can only be used with iOS has declined wildly.

If you want to use CarPlay, you first have to buy an Apple phone, and this alone has been rejected by many people.

So what I'm saying is that the value of CarPlay in the Chinese market has been very weak, not the global market, because North American and European consumers still need CarPlay, so Apple's updates to CarPlay have never stopped, and recently updated a new version, with richer features and better UI design.

These upgrades are actually aimed at the overseas market, after all, the world is a market with 80 million magnitude, and the domestic market is 25 million magnitude, which means that the overseas market is still huge, and Apple's carplay is charged according to the installed capacity through open interfaces.

The decline in domestic share is due to the fact that Chinese brands' models have a very good sense of intelligent experience, and Chinese-made mobile phones cannot be adapted to CarPlay, but Apple's overseas share is still not small.

Taking a step back and looking at our China's intelligent cockpit, the excellence of intelligent voice, the open-source lifestyle, CarPlay is really very basic in front of these product points.

Therefore, for the vast majority of consumers, carplay is being marginalized at a very fast pace, and a series of new cars of Chinese brands, Geely, Great Wall, BYD, Changan, Chery, including the future Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, and Audi's new cars, will also be carplayed in the domestic market.

Again, the premise is that the marginalization of CarPlay only exists in the domestic market.
