Bao Guifen is one of the artists I have ever met who is extremely persistent and passionate about art. In order to specialize in painting, she even quit her well-paid job in the early years and embarked on the path of a freelance artist who created professionally. Over the years, she has gone to the studio as if she were going to work, going early and returning late every day, rain or shine, immersed in painting without distractions. This perseverance and perseverance are enough to show her dedication and love for art. Recently, I went to her studio and was deeply amazed by her series of works about the Liangzhu civilization. After these works are framed, they are neatly wrapped in rolls, and there are dozens or nearly hundreds of pieces, and they are all large works of more than four or six feet. She said that these are her achievements in the past three years, she used the brush in her hand to practice her love and thinking about the Liangzhu civilization, and she used painting to spread the history and culture of the Liangzhu civilization.

She has walked on the land of the ancient civilization site of Liangzhu countless times, by the ridges, by the stream, among the weeds, and ...... beside the ruins, I feel the breath of grass and trees here, and think of the life of the ancient ancestors. This contrast between the grandeur of time and space and the insignificance of the individual makes Bao Guifen's respect for the Liangzhu civilization spontaneously arise from her heart, which has become the source and motivation for her creation, inspires her perception of history, and clarifies her heart. Her works are mainly scenes and stories depicting the life and work of the ancestors of Liangzhu. The study experience and long-term training of the Academy of Fine Arts made her handy in handling the pictures, and the flowery backgrounds were quite decorative, reflecting the perception and feeling of a female painter's beauty.

In addition to those highly skilled processed jade and limited living tools, the Liangzhu civilization has brought us very little understanding of the ancestors, and many civilization codes need to be deciphered. Although this is the business of archaeologists and historians, artists turn the sense of history into an aesthetic sense, find the inspiration and source of artistic creation from history, and express it with their own understanding of art, which is another kind of dissemination and research. Bao Guifen is doing something very meaningful. If an artist wants to create good works, he must first have a heartfelt love for art, coupled with a serious and persistent attitude, Bao Guifen fully meets these characteristics, and I believe that she will create better and better works of art.
