On December 21st, the new headquarters of XBOTPARK Robot Base held a grand opening ceremony in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, and opened a three-day hard technology garden carnival from 21 to 23 days with the theme of "Time Change, New Chapter". The new base covers an area of 98 acres, with a construction area of 110,000 square meters, and is committed to building a base integrating cultivation, incubation, research and development, production and life.
More than 500 guests from the venture capital community attended the event, including representatives from more than 20 universities and industry partners, such as Arrow Electronics and Vanke, as well as LPs from the base**, including Sequoia Capital and Hillhouse Group.
Let's talk about the exploration of the science and technology innovation ecosystem
Since its inception in 2014, XBOTPARK Robotics Base has gone through 9 years. The opening of the new base is a major milestone for XBOTPARK on the road of hard technology entrepreneurship cultivation and incubation.
Zhuo Qing, director of the Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau, said in his speech, "Through years of exploration and accumulation of innovation and entrepreneurship models, XBOTPARK Robot Base has summed up a unique set of business incubation and empowerment system, relying on the advantages of the Greater Bay Area, to build this place into a unique dream factory for hardware technology entrepreneurship in the world, and to create a business card for hardware technology entrepreneurship in Songshan Lake and even the Greater Bay Area, so as to better drive the surrounding scientific and technological innovation atmosphere." ”
Professor Li Zexiang, the initiator of the base, shared the 9-year exploration process of the base. He believes that only by establishing an end-to-end, high-efficiency and high-quality science and technology innovation ecosystem can we drive the continuous upgrading and development of various industries in a large-scale and systematic manner.
At present, China is the unshakable world factory, but if you only stay in the world factory, you still can't complete the huge challenges in the future, so you have to overcome two main problems: one is how to inherit the manufacturing process through the localization of equipment, and the manufacturing industry can not rely on foreign equipment to support the continuous development of the manufacturing industry, and must enhance the core competitiveness;The other is how to create its own brand and let the enterprise go out through the power of the brand. ”
Based on this, the base has been in the fields of intelligent C-end, smart industry, smart agriculture, smart health, and intelligent construction for many years, constantly exploring the application of robotics and innovative thinking in these industries, and cultivating and incubating more than 70 hard technology entrepreneurial teams.
Tao Shizheng, the entrepreneurial brother of the base and the founder of Yidong Technology, mentioned in the theme sharing, "The reason why we came to Songshan Lake is that as the first company to settle in the new base, we also hope to grow together with the base. Build a hard technology entrepreneurship ecosystem
The XBOTPARK Robotics Base Headquarters covers an area of 110,000 square meters and includes a variety of functional buildings.
The 15-storey Alpha R&D main building of the base is a R&D space that supports hard technology entrepreneurial teams to explore and polish their ideas, and there are also lecture halls, entrepreneurs' clubs, libraries, etc., to create an open creative world for entrepreneurial teams to communicate. Sigma R&D podium was born for the rapid implementation of ideas, with 3D printing laboratory, electronics laboratory, woodworking workshop, repair room, etc., to meet the diversified exploration needs of early team product design, prototype iteration, R&D and debugging.
As the definition of a product becomes clearer, there is a key challenge for hard tech entrepreneurs – manufacturing. From prototype production to small batch production testing to formal mass production and the establishment of their own production lines, different entrepreneurial stages have different production needs. Based on this, the XBOTPARK robot base has deliberately designed two super 1 buildings in the planning of the parkThe 60,000-square-meter 8-storey pilot building, namely the Beta Pilot Building and the Delta Pilot Building, provides entrepreneurs with ample space for R&D, testing and production.
