Today, I will continue to introduce you to Mongolian culture.

Costume Culture:

Mongolian costumes are very characteristic of national culture, and their style is affected by the environment, usually with robes as the main clothing, which is characterized by hypertrophy and no slit. People in agricultural and pastoral areas mainly use cloth clothes, there are also slit robes, cotton clothes, cotton jackets, etc., in winter, they mostly use felt boots and indigo, Mongolian men like to wear a blue or black-brown hat, and a few people wrap silk around their heads.

Folk House Culture:

The yurt is a major feature of Mongolian dwellings, usually in a round shape, with large yurts that can accommodate more than 20 people and small ones that can accommodate more than 10 people. "Bag" means "home" or "house". In ancient times, yurts were called "domes", "felt tents" or "yurts". The yurt is very suitable for the life of nomads, and the biggest feature is that it is easy to disassemble and assemble. From a distance, it looks like a piece of white clouds floating on the vast grassland, which seems to be thick and dense and impermeable, but in fact has excellent air circulation and lighting conditions, warm in winter and cool in summer, let the wind and rain blow.

Festival Culture:

Naadam is the most solemn festival of the Mongolian people, which is translated into Chinese as "entertainment, game", meaning the joy of harvest, and is a traditional event of the grassland. Its main activities include archery, wrestling, horse racing, horse seting, chess and other traditional competitions. Nowadays, the Naadam Conference has added new types of projects such as business exchanges and theatrical performances, which not only have the atmosphere of traditional ethnic events, but also have the characteristics of practical results. On May 20, 2006, Naadam was approved to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. There are also many traditional festivals in Mongolia, such as Hezhe Nian, Bai Festival, Yan Jiu Festival, and Horse Seal, which are described in detail in the festival chapter later.

Archaeological Culture:

Hetao culture. The Hetao Plain is the place where the great mother river of our country flows. Under the nourishment of the Mother River over the years, it has become one of the birthplaces of human civilization and one of the birthplaces of Asian farming culture, and the source of its civilization can be roughly traced back to the Paleolithic Age. The world-famous Dayao cultural site was excavated here, and its discovery pushed the human history of Inner Mongolia forward to 60-700,000 years ago, providing a rich and important basis for the study of stone tool culture, which can be said to have shocked the entire archaeological community. The Hetao culture shows a strong spirit of the times, the enthusiastic and unrestrained horseback national style, and the endless humanistic appearance of the river, all of which reflect the enterprising spirit of the people.

Red Hill Culture. Along with the Hetao culture, there is also the "Hongshan Culture" in the Chifeng region of Inner Mongolia, which is known as the source of northern culture and the only prehistoric culture famous for jade. Among them, the Xinglongwa cultural site has unearthed the oldest jade artifact in China, which is the most well-preserved prehistoric tribal site, and is also known as the "first village of the grassland". On November 20, 1996, the Xinglongwa site was announced by the People's Republic of China as the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. On October 18, 2021, the Xinglongwa site was selected as one of the "Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries in a Hundred Years" in China.
