Walk into the hometown of ornamental stones in China, Changshan Flower Stone Gang site

Mondo Collection Updated on 2024-01-31

Last weekend, my old colleague Mr. Hu invited me to a small restaurant on the bank of Nanmen Creek, and I agreed. Nanmen Creek is the site of Changshan's "Huashigang", and I want to see it again.

According to the Qing Jiaqing "Changshan County Chronicles": Nanxi, a Sixi, its source comes from the rivers and mountains, flows forty miles east, and Shigangxi will meet, also called Wenxi. This creek has always been rich in a famous ornamental stone, Huang Renxi editor-in-chief of the "Introduction to Chinese Ornamental Stones" recorded, Changshan stone, also known as the empty word stone, Shihong (Kong) Xi Ya stone. Shigang Creek is in the southwest of the county, so the county people mostly call it "Nanmen Creek".

I remember that in the summer afternoon of 2018, Xie Shishi, who came from the countryside, came to the hotel on the bank of Nanmen Creek as a guest and invited me to accompany him. Because it was still early before dinner time, and the restaurant was next to the national highway in the south, we all thought of taking a walk around Nanmen Creek. What catches my eye is that the "Huashigang Ruins Project" has recently been created on the Nanmen River, with driving routes, viewing platforms, "Huashigang" cultural relics display, etc., especially the plank road for visitors to walk is magnificent and magnificent, and it is a kilometer long.

Today, the sun is just right, and I changed my previous way of thinking from the east and chose to start from the west of Nanmen Creek. Along the shady flood control embankment, through the quiet bridge hole, step through the entrance of Shigang Temple, and then walk the sidewalk on National Highway 320, you will see the Fengqi community sitting in the north and facing south for a while. The valley opposite the community is today's destination - the site of "Huashigang".

After stepping off the national highway and entering the canyon, there is a flat section of Changqiao Village. There are a tuft of vegetable fields prepared by the industrious people on the side of the road, and a barrage has been built in the stream next to the vegetable field, and in such a cold winter season, the stream is still abundant, and the overflowing waterfall is loud. The flowing water cleans the stones in the stream spotlessly, which is the origin of the strange stone "Sixi Stone" in Changshan, and it is also one of the "Jinchuan Snow Waves" in the ten ancient scenery of Changshan. History: This is also the location of the "Changshan Qiaoshi" mined during the "Huashi Gang" period.

It is said that Zhao Ji of Song Huizong loves strange stones, especially the "Changshan Stone" from Changshan County, western Zhejiang, and gives the name of "Qiao Stone". During the Chongning period of the Northern Song Dynasty, Cai Jingtou, the minister of power, invested in Huizong Zhao Ji, set up a bureau in Pingjiang (now Suzhou), and ordered all parts of the country, especially in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, to collect rare flowers and stones, and transport them to the capital through the Grand Canal. Therefore, "Flower Stone Class" is also the name of transportation that specializes in transporting exotic flowers and stones in history. At that time, the ship was generally ten ships in a team, called a gang, which was the famous "Huashi Gang" in history. Today, the "Huashigang Site" is a demonstration site for the inheritance and protection of the "Stone Appreciation Art", a representative project of national intangible cultural heritage.

The most beautiful of the Huashigang site is the strange, precious, Xi, and beautiful stones in the water, as well as the zigzag plank road that is newly built by the stream. Step on the antique, quiet and comfortable wooden plank road, you can enjoy the Sixi Stone in the water, you can look at the flowers and bamboos at the water's edge in the distance and the homes in the depths of the white clouds. There seems to be the sound of a bird in my ears, and the poem "The sound is high from afar, and the song of ecstasy stream" chanted here a few years ago seems to be right in front of me. I thought to myself, if it was a hot day, I really had to take off my shoes and pants, walk down the plank road, and have a close contact with the strange stones in the water of the South Gate Stream.

And under the warm sun today, looking and taking pictures step by step on the plank road, my body is gradually getting warmer. What makes us small town people happy is that the "strange stones" produced here are not only inscribed by Song Huizong as "the peak of Shenyun Zhaogong to celebrate ten thousand years", but also contribute to the naming of Changshan in the new era as "the hometown of Chinese ornamental stones".

As it approached noon, the sun warmed up. Leisurely hiking on the boardwalk, he found that there was a meticulous angler around the corner in front of him, and the sound of gurgling water and the people walking and chatting next to him did not seem to affect his concentration. The great genius of the Ming Dynasty, Wen Zhengming's poem "Title Nanxi Volume Gift to Zhan Deben" is confirmed here - "Buzhu Nanxi, it is clearly Yuchuan." Sometimes they also lead fishing, and take advantage of the good to move the boat. The moon is bright at night, and the spring cold locks the blue smoke. He Zengmu city, fish and birds follow fate. "Yes, next to the small town, there are "Jinchuan Snow Waves" and rare stones - how lucky.

Walking to the top of the trestle on the east side, I took a panoramic view of the boardwalk, and I noticed a row of tall and craggy trees next to the plank road and between the streams and rocks. It rises and falls, the wind and rain do not change, and it may have existed for many years, but I am lonely and unaware of its name. I asked the exercisers on the boardwalk what kind of tree was thisAnswer, I can't name it, I only know that the branches are lush in spring and summer; When I asked the eldest brother who was working on the side of the road, he said that it was about the same as the soaphorn tree;I asked the cadres of the village again, and said that it was "Zhejiang Nan". After a while, Mr. Wang arrived and asked what kind of tree it was, and the answer was "locust tree". When I sent the ** to the cadres of the Forestry and Water Bureau for identification, they said that there are no leaves in sight now, and the preliminary judgment is that it is a willow tree or a maple poplar.

It seems that when everything is full of vitality next year, it is planned to invite senior engineers and stone appreciation experts from the forestry department to revisit Nanmen Creek, and then walk the plank road, wading in the stream, and will definitely call out the names of the trees by the stream, and then slowly taste the dazzling Changshan strange stones in the canyon.
